Secret Santa bragging thread.

Avarie537…I’m glad you liked your gifts.

It wasn’t till after I sent out the package that I read that it’s custom to sign with your screenname.

auRa, you are most welcome, I had so much fun with your gift that it feels a little odd to be thanked for it! BTW, when did it get to you? I sent it on 13 Dec., and our Postal Service said it would take “5-7 business days.” But they’re notorious for their sloth.

Cheers, and happy New Year!

You’re welcome.

I tried to go for as many of the things that you said you liked, chocolate and sparklies and candles and such. The frog came about while I was shopping for my daughter, and I walked by a display of the silly things…Imagine a wall of these frogs, hanging by their arms, bouncing up and down and giggling like feinds. I cracked up laughing, and had to share.

Happy Holidays to you as well.

Missy2U, I’m so glad you liked the plate. I knew I wanted to get something from Frankoma, but it took me forever to decide what. If you ever make the recipe on the plate, let me know how it turns out. Oh, and by the way, did you notice the misspelling in the recipe? I thought that was kinda cool.

I finally got my gift the day on the 26th. It was three boxes (one of them really big) of Turkish delight, one of my favorite confections and one that I can’t seem to find around here, although I haven’t really looked too hard for it. I don’t know who my Santa was, since she didn’t include her username, but she lives in Brooklyn. Thank you so much, whoever you are!

I am so glad you liked everything. I actually found the GPK cards at a local drugstore. If you would like me to send you some more I would be happy to pick up a few extra packs and send them your way. I loved those when I was much younger and when I saw them I thought I would throw them in for you.

AAHHHH!!! I didn’t log off from Sauron when I posted.

Sorry!!! I am turning off the computer now! Must not post when tired again.

Beadalin, I’m glad you liked it – I’m afraid I saw your wish post in this thread too late to do anything about it. :o I’ll be sending the mittens in Saturday’s mail.

mlerose, after two frantic days of reading, I finished Hominids and loved it. It also turns out a good friend of mine knows the author. Thank you again for the gift of marvelous ideas for Christmas!!!

CJ

Well, I didn’t sign my gift either, swannguy, so don’t feel too bad!

Two apologies -

First, to Delores,
I’m sorry for taking so long to thank you.
I got my Rio Bravo poster! Thank you so much. I had to leave town (my family makes Christmas plans at the last possible second) so I wasn’t here when it arrived, but it was waiting at my door when I got back home. Very cool.

Second, to my person.
It’s on its way.
You were not forgotten. I’m just lame. And I’m very sorry that I sent it late.

I have tried to post this about five time. The rodents from hell are having a grand time eating my posts.

Misstee sent me the very coolest gift of all. A bright yellow “street-rod” M&M dispenser. It came with a starter bag too! I also got some very nice postcards of Iowa. Thanks misstee

Also, to Twickster, you’re welcome. You are right. A turkey, and everything needed to make a complete Christmas dinner, was donated in your name.

I hope you liked the chocolates.

Happy New Year everyone!

Actually, it got here on the 23rd, but it took me a while to finish the puzzle.

What I was positively surprised by was the speed of the Finnish Postal Service. As I wrote before, the package got sent on the 23rd, and the man at the post office told me it’d probably be there around January 5th!

The Punkyova, I am so glad that you like the windchimes!
I saw them, fell in love with them and new they were perfect. Everybody needs at least one set of windchimes.
The candy was put in there by my children. They feel that everyone on the face of the earth adores those sour things as much as they do and wanted to get in on the giving and share the wealth.
I hope there was enough to go around. Around here a person risks life and limb trying to get between the heathens and their sour candies.

Davewoo71, feel free to fit me into your sig line. I would be honored to have my name (or at least quoted) in a sig line and next to Persephone.
Oh, and the almond toffee is pure heaven!

Much love to Opalcat who sent me a lovely canister and spoon - and lots of yummy cocoa mix.
The weatherman says that Thursday is supposed to be ‘frigid’ - but Opal has saved me from the shivers.

Thank you! Happy winter!

You’re welcome! It is amaretto cocoa… I hope you like amaretto! If you do, the recipe is here: http://fff.fathom.org/cgi-bin/recipes/recipe.cgi

[I still haven’t gotten anything yet… I don’t mind it being late–I was a big turd and sent mine late, too–but I do hope I get something eventually.]

Mine has not arrived yet, either. I don’t mind it being late but I do hope one is on the way. Also, my giftee hasn’t posted on here yet so I hope it made it there.

No gift for the Zebra either.

I guess our Santas are taking the Secret part really seriously.

Hey Mr.** Edward the Head**, I tried sending a thank-you card to the address you put on my package, and it got returned to me! Is there an address I can rerout it to? Please send an email to the one in my profile (mlerose at yahoo dot com). Thanks bunches!

And Siege, glad you liked the book! There’s a sequel out if you’re interested! [insert evil grin here].

Yeah, me too Zebra and Krys92gp. I’m still hopeful that something will show up though.

Humm, my giftee hasn’t posted on here yet either. I hope it got there…
