There is plenty of porn that is produced by women - I’d say the vast majority of amateur web sites are run by the women who are featured themselves. I dislike the spitting too. I don’t get its appeal at all. Ali Davis, the author ofTrue Porn Clerk Stories, has observed that there is a small portion of porn customers who drive the porn market, because they buy it obsessively, and it is their tastes, rather than the tastes of the vast majority of porn customers, that determines what shows up in porn … and their tastes are NOT typical.

I suppose one of the reasons it has become ubiquitous is that most American porn is produced in the San Fernando Valley by a fairly small group. They watch each others work, and trends circulate like herpes.
