Im no longer sure that Shags is a misogynist. Or perhaps…just a misogynist. He likes to talk about relationship relativity, but it seems to me that he can’t see women - or even people - as anything else other than “what role they fill for me.” Of course his mother knows how to reduce him to tears, of course he adores his daughters - Those are the roles these …objects …occupy. He doesn’t seem to see people as actual people but rather what use they can provide.
ETA this includes his Nigerian coworker, that he also identifies by nationality, for some reason.
Perhaps this lies at the heart of the issue. You always refer to potential dates in terms of sexual desirability. You seem to have zero interest in dates that aren’t - what, an 8 or higher? So when you shoehorn your children into that same patern of sexual desirability, by referring to her as your ideal date - it does NOT come across as if you are talking about personality, achievement or ability. You are, first and foremost, occupied by hotness. So.
If no one who is not fuckable is dateable, perhaps reconsider referring to a child as an ideal date.
