My actual hope is that this thread winds up closed. That’s usually what happens with topic bans. He can’t actually defend himself without violating it, so threads like this get closed. If spinky is legit, let’s see them post on something else.

I know how fun it is to play OMG SOMETHING’S FISHY HERE, but I really am just a guy who hasn’t posted here for a long time, but hasn’t stopped reading. For a really long time I couldn’t log in because I forgot my password, and I wasn’t a big poster anyway, so reading was just fine. About once every other month I’d have a response to a thread I wanted to post, so I’d click the “forgot my password” link in the login page and it would send me the password reset email. Except something about the way the SDMB sends those emails caused it to be delayed for hours, and I’d wait and wait and eventually get tired and go to bed and forget about what I wanted to post, and the next day when I finally got around to clicking the password reset link, it would say “sorry dude, this link is expired lol” and I’d go back to “fuck it, I didn’t really need to post that” mode for another couple of months. Lo and behold, when I decided I wanted to respond to this thread, the password reset email arrived in my inbox pretty much immediately, and now I can log in.
Sometimes a poster is just a poster, guys. I’m sorry I haven’t been around much and it made you lose your faith in me.

The weird thing is that I never did that in the first place. I started one finding women over 40 unattractive and later corrected it because I found that it didn’t have to be that way through first hand experience. It isn’t like I ever started multiple threads on anything on a single subject in any reasonable amount of time.
I have some controversial views on marriage and relationships in general but that is no reason to go to the cross. I had to go through two breakups this morning before breakfast. It gets to be like brushing your teeth. I still like both of them but it didn’t work out due to circumstances.
People get really pissed off about this stuff but male/female relationships are really complicated if they even work at all. I already have all the kids I want, plenty of money and happiness. You have to add to that recipe and not take anything away. Most of them can’t do that. Next.

The vast majority of women are not hosebeats. They are semi-mythical but they do exist in the wild. I know three of them right now - gargoyle looks, abusive personality, sub-par intelligence and no known redeeming qualities. It is a mystery how they are married or even employed but they exist. I have to work with them and every large company has some.
There are men that are the same way. No one knows how they got their job or how they even manage to dress themselves in the morning but there they are barking nonsense terms to people that actually know what they are doing.
