Signs of spring in the MMP

I am up, decaffeinated, sheveled and at irk. And posting on here as a displacement activity since I’ve got to write up staff development reports for my minions, and I Don Twanna!

(((((Swampy))))), hope you’re feeling better today. You must be proud of yourself now you’re up to date with the online training. I had to do some for equality and diversity but my PC at the time didn’t have speakers and the flash player was out of date so I couldn’t play any of the interviews, soundbites and scenarios at all. I skipped to the end, did the quiz and still scored enough to pass.

Went to the gym last night for a spin class, home for curry made by my beloved, then champagne and The Walking Dead. Well, what else does a girl do on her birthday?

I woke before 2 this AM, dozed on and off till I decided to turn on the TV at 4. It’s gonna be a looooooooong freekin’ day! ugh.

At least I have stuff to do here, altho that’s part of the reason I couldn’t sleep - I was thinking about this crap. Oh well, that’s why there’s caffeine, right?

Happy Tuesday. <yawn>

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, and purtified, so no YAWN. ‘Tis 50 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 80 and sunny for the day. We’re goin’ for a McBrekkie this mornin’. After that I get to go over to the west forty for what should take up most of my irk day. The west forty is a lot of drive time!

I feel a lot better today. Thanks for all the get wells, etc. BooFae I thought that was the standard procedure for doin’ on-line trainin.

OK, I hear rumblin’s from the bedroom that indicate OYKW is all purtified. Thus we shall be on our way.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

Royals? Maybe, in a pinch. But Red Sox? BITE YOUR TONGUE!

But, oddly, more injuries.

blurf.

Happy Toosday!

Supposed to get up into the 70s today, so time to open the windows. At last for a few hours.

Weird dreams woke me up early.

Jeez, getting a call from the friend I had a falling out with - it’s not even 8am - why in the hell call me this damn early? You’re not likely to get me in a good mood.

Insomnia sucks.

Red Sux? Really? The only time I kinda, sorta wanted them to win (& even then was with mixed emotions) was 1986.

The classic baseball uniform is pinstripes; look crosstown or about 90 miles south for some examples. :dubious:
50 minstrel into a conference call; we’re still on the first tab of the spreadsheet. My stuff doesn’t come up until the third tab. :frowning:

Awake and looking at basic gloom. The weatherman promised sun dammit and I better start seeing some sun or heads will roll!

Hey, Red & white is for Cincinnati too, don’t forget!!

Irk from home… I has a blurf.

Blue & White = DODGERS!

Cat is assisting with the typing. :dubious:

Everyone is off to school and/or work. I am pondering my day, which needs must include shopping, laundry and tidying.

Two books came out today from my favorite authors. I think I shall start the day with a little reading. Then the work.

Happy Toesday.

(Go Dodgers!)

LUNCH TIME!!!

Frustrating morning - I did a whole bunch of work, then accidentally deleted it. No way to recover it. I am not happy. Oh well - I’ll have something to do this afternoon…

Nope. I will only ever sport blue & orange, even if the guys wear that weird camo thing.*

  • that’s to see if you’re paying attention

Something **tugig **can appreciate happened live on this morning’s news. Someone was doing a report related to a train derailment and their photographer had that third eye out, watching the world, while their other eye(s) were watching the camera and reporter.

That third eye and/or spidey sense is a good thing!

About a half hour later, the reporter and the in-studio anchors were talking about it, and the reporter apologized if they let any profanity slip. I was thinking “Dude, you got a free pass there!”

Like Pearl, my first thoughts for the red and white team was Cincinnati (go Reds!).

I just got the invitation to the finance department spring team event. We’re going to a Sounds baseball game. We used to do that every year, but last year we didn’t. This will be my first time at their new stadium.

In local news, this happened just a few miles from my home: http://nysepost.com/semi-truck-carrying-bees-crashes-in-wilson-county-149176 Up to 25 million bees were said to have been involved.

Rosie, please! Certain mumpers are prone to migranes; those colors would probably trigger them. :frowning:

What’s this third eye BS, says Spiderman? :dubious:

I knew I liked you misred!

Time to go home!!

Howdy Y’all! Irk has been survived and we went and had a <snerk> Quickie! <snerk> dindin. I do love their patty melts! OYKW got the really big cheese burger.

All those borin’ colors! Doesn’t anyone like mauve and puce anymore?

We went to Ledo’s for salads for supper. Mine came out with transparent cucumber slices - ick. They were replaced and I’s stuffded - humongous salad!

The house is closed up against the cool of the evening - it was loverly this afternoon, and more is on tap for tomorrow. I’ll open the windows before we leave in the morning. Loving this weather!

C’mon Firday!

A loss to report.

For those old timers around here who remember my fire and rescue tales from Cottonfield County, NC, one of my frequent ambulance partners died today in the line of duty, Steve the Barber.

He was on scene for a diabetic emergency, when he began to have shortness of breath and chest pains. He died en route to the hospital as a patient himself of a massive heart attack.

Needless to say I will be headed off to Cottonfield County when I know of the arrangements.

Steve Toppin, rest in peace. You were one of the good guys.
