Since It Ain't Up Yet, Here's The MMP

And Scotty pipes in from the engine room “Cap’n I’m giving her all she’s got”:stuck_out_tongue:

Hon, I’ve been burned on mortgages twice in the past 10 years, and I’m not in any mood to try “three strikes and you’re out” any time soon. Not a thing wrong with renting, BTW.

Sounds like you need some cheering up, Rosie dear. :goose:

I thought it was “Cap’n! There’s a weiner in the warp drive!”

VunderBob next time we beam down you are wearing the red shirt:D

You are warped, twisted, and sick.

I like that in a person.

Jim!, you may want to do a lil bit o’ research into us Mumpers.

ETA: We could dub him CAPT Dunsel:stuck_out_tongue:

**BBBobbio **- link sent via PM.

And my unsupervised hours are almost over. Turns out **FCD **is on his way home, and he’ll be returning to Johnstown maybe next week. So I guess I have to cancel the orgy. :frowning:

I am glad he’s coming home, but the poor guy is exhausted - I expect he’ll get home and crash. Oh well, that’s why he gets the big bucks…

I have been reading the FAQs and trying to catch up to speed, you know the whole join a community to which you are a stranger. I just happen to like that y’all are rather friendly and funny. Still don’t get the GOAT and SQUID thing, a little sceered tho

off to buy some 20w50 and 10w for the two wheeler

James Tiberius

**JT **- Personally, I think the goat and squid is so junior high school. However, there is a standing order that I receive chocolate love offerings and swampy, doggio, and **BBBobbio **get beerverages. The most important, naturally, is the chocolate. Because I’m nice, dammit!

Unless I’m mistaken, **gt **is the only one who really gave me chocolate when she and I met during her DC visit. Everyone else is *way *over due. <tapping foot impatiently>

And if you get confused by nicknames and abbreviations which may not be in the FAQ, just ask. Such things are not so much a secret code as our concentrated silliness. It’s what the MMP is all about.

:eek::D;)

me, too.

speaking of warped etc . . . :dubious::cool:
(yes, I like smilies)

Thanks FCM, next time I am in Bezerkley, CA I will be sure to stop by the Scharfenberger Chocolate Factory and pick up something for you. Sorry boys but all the beerverages are mine

Dindin is et and OYKW is back at his place because he has a buncha paperirk to deal with, poor thing. I was kinda hopin’ for a weeknight sleepover.

However since that is not to be I reckon I’ll put together the ground beast and cabbage casserole for tomorrow night’s dindin.

Welcome Jim! I also flirt with all the new guys, so, how you doin’?

SB I am aok had a little traffic time ride with the people who want to kill me(Houston Car Drivers) as always… interesting and its getting a tad warm for the body armor. Sorry about the lost sleepover although I have forgotten what happens on them. Getting ready for din din and a IRK meeting with the annual drink too much with your coworkers and awkward moments party, that’s all I have

Cheers

JTK

Welcome,** Jim.** Pleased to meetcha!

I had a really good customer service experience today. Back story first: While returning from the across the state with my son on Saturday, the damn moulding on the driver’s side of my windshield came loose and was flapping in the wind. I’d had issues with it before, and had fixed it myself and all was good for a real long time.

Anyway, today I called local windshield/glass place and described my problem to the gal who answered the phone. She said to swing on by, and her manager would take a look at it. As soon as I walked in the door, the gal asked if I was the moulding person, and when I replied in the affirmative, the manager hopped up, walked out to my Expedition, took a look, pressed it all back in and then asked if I wanted it glued down. I replied that yes, I would like it glued down. He said, “Okay, no problem it’ll be about 15 or 20 minutes”. So, I sat in the waiting area and waited. Sure enough, fifteen minutes later, it was done and the manager drove my rig around front again, walked in to the waiting area, and handed me the keys. When I asked what I owed, he told me I didn’t owe a thing. All he asked was that I remember his shop the next time my windshield had a chip or a crack.

You can bet I will remember. That kind of made my day. That stupid piece of moulding has been a problem for a long time. As I said earlier, I thought I had it fixed, and all was good for almost two years. Then I made the mistake of running it through the carwash last Friday. I opted for the Ultra Wash where they dry the car with the big blowers. I sat there sort of freaking out as I watched my windshield wipers being lifted up from the force of the air. I’ll bet that’s what caused the moulding to come loose again.

Anyway, it’s fixed, and I’m a happy camper. There’s a piece of tape holding it all in place, which I’ve been told to wait to remove until around 7:00 pm at the earliest.

The sun is out and it’s actually above 70 degrees. I should go do something in the yard, but I’m still trying to recover from my crazy weekend.

Thanks Taters
Sometimes I am happily amazed by the actions of people, glad to see others are too

Yay for customer service, Taters! I’ve had similar experiences with businesses, and they always leave me feeling all warm and fuzzy!

My sweetie should be home soon - I’m going to power down and assume the crochet position and await his arrival. See youse guys in the morning! Don’t forget to tidy up before you go to bed!

MWAH!!

A facelift, or did you put her down?

My tenant tells me that a lot.
Several times when he got a new furnace/ A/C.

Nah, there’s three; I was on the street for a dozen years.

Am too lazy to plug in Internet, so am posting from phone. Electricians will be back tomorrow, hopefully to finish things up.

Am watching The Goodbye Girl - haven’t seen it in 20 years or so. Still good.

Back tomorrow, hopefully with Internet.

Hugs all.

GT
