Sparklers, bottle rockets, and the MMP

Accordin’ to the weather PTB it is 89 Amurrkin out and feels like 97. I heartily concur. In a couple of hours I’m bettin’ the temp will be 97 Amurrkin and feel like a hunnert and ten. It’s HAWT out there!
ETA: First on Three!

We’re off to a miniature golf/go kart/batting cages place today with an all day pass. I’m already exhausted.

Me too! I want to lie down in an air conditioned bedroom with a cool drink after readin’ that.

We let Bert’s make lunch (all of a sudden, the fries that were included with the burger are now $2!!) then stopped by the Amish market for corn, cukes, and 'maters. Last stop was Tractor Supply for a piece of steel for **FCD **to practice paint samples. I may go down to my studio for an hour or so, but I really just want to nap…

ICK! I’m a Summer baby and love me some Summer but 98 with a heat index of a hunnert and eight is too much. I could have wrapped a ten pound standin’ rib roast in foil this mornin’, set it out on the cee-mint at the cee-mint pond and I believe it would have been done to a turn by now.

Just a few more days before we leave the land of weather that’s so humid, it’s worn, rather than just felt. Right now, Wunderground tells me it’s 96 and feels like 116. ICK!

We’ll probably take advantage of the campground’s swimming pool tonight. I think it’s more dead palmetto bugs, paint and patching than actual cee-ment, but the water was cool yesterday.

Took a nap and it felt good while I lasted.
Now I feel ick.

Today became pizza day so I had half a cheese steak for N.O.L., I’ll have the other half for dinner.

Clay time is done! I threw 2 dog dishes and put stuff inside them to force the dogs to eat slower. Cozmo and Higgs tend to inhale their food, so if we put it in bowls with obstructions, they’ll have to take their time, right? We shall see.

I’ve got 30 minutes to kill before I have to start supper. yay!

I love this whole workin’ from home thing. I’m wearing jean shorts and a Marvin the Martian t-shirt. I’m barefoot. I have a conference call tomorrow morning. I might not change out of the yoga pants and t-shirt I usually sleep in. (I still have to get dressed nicely afterward because I have a job interview in the afternoon.) Hallelujah!

I’m hearing thunderboomers, but there’s not a lot on the weather radar. I want some rain, dammit!!

Just finished cutting up the components of supper, but I won’t be starting it for another hour - we had a late lunch and neither of us is hungry. So more time to kill.

Reminds me of a funny cartoon I saw a while back.

Day off, much goofing off is happening.

We didn’t get any rain - just some noise. Dammit.

Supper has been ingested. I’m gonna recline. MWAH!!

Overheard outside the DC Federal Courthouse where they had a hearing for the Benghazi suspect…

Reporter: “Yes sir I am a reporter.”

Bystander: (Mumble mumble)

Reporter: “Do you mean the Devil or big government?”

I have no idea what the context was but I got a good laugh.

Lots of rumblys; some from outside the window, some from inside the tum-tum. guess I should make dinner now in case the storm takes out power. Leftover pesto chicken to nukealate.

I hope AT&T fixes whatever the hell is wrong with my phone soon.

I can’t connect to wifi unless I turn off mobile date. If I turn off mobile data I can’t send text messages. My phone says ‘emergency calls only’. So I turned off wifi and turn mobile data back on.

Howdy Y’all! After a sammich dindin, I betook myself over to the church house for Evening Prayer. I was slackolyte and didn’t burn the place down so let’s call it a win. 'Twas a nice service as always.

Ok, that’s all I got. Gonna go check out a couple things on teh intartoobz, then take myself beddy bye. I’s tahrd!

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Storm came overhead, some of the booms had me shaking; not skeered shaking but rockin’ the whole house & me in it cause they were so close shakin’. I went on the (covered) deck to watch it. One big tree across the street was really swaying. Shoulda taken my video camera out; oh well. :frowning:

Speaking of; has anyone seen a lightning storm from above? High above!

Somebody is setting off fire crackers tonight.

Started hearing them last night here.

Holy shit, Sari, it’s true! I can’t believe it’s really true!!!

I just flipped on the local news. A father & son from a near-by town went to the local Wally World (two/three towns away) to buy tarps & duct tape, which they then used to wrap up dad/grandpa before driving his body up to the country to dump it!

Your fellow mumpers weren’t just giving you silly suggestions! :o
