I love “hard” (hehe…) music as the background for so called “activities.” NIN, Tool, System of a Down - fond memories of each - and it’s not necessarily music I’d listen to normally (I’m more a punk fan in everyday life). It’s just so much better, than, say… Barry Manilow.

Well, I’m no fan of Barry’s, either. But, at least his music doesn’t make me violent. Violently ill, sometimes; but, not violent.
I’m old, okay? I don’t even know what song that’s from. But, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like it, since I’ve never heard a NIN song I did like.
But making you violent is half the point, at least for me (within reason of course). But enough talk, I need to go out tonight, methinks

No, I mean really violent. Not just sexually aggresive. Violent. Abusive. I don’t like being that way. And, I’m too old, and out of shape, for bar fights. Especially since everyone seems to pack weapons, these days. Not that it would stop me.

No, they were pretty much what I thought they were. Ugly. But, I appreciate the effort. It’s really more the music, than the lyrics, that bothers me. It’s a visceral reaction.

Floyd’s fine, although I got sick of it, from overexposure, a long time ago. I have some tolerance, these days. I like Petty. But, Romeo and Juliet? The movie soundtrack? How is that any better than Manilow?
