Springing Forward in the MMP

Then go, & make sure to check out the static displays.

Up, caffeinating and trying to scare up enough ambition to clean house and do laundry.

Happy Saturday!

Well, not really.
Even though I’ve been up for over 2 hours. breakfasted, caffeinated, paid some bills, corrected and resubmitted the fafsa, I still have a huge blurf and a grumpy going on.

It’s a cloudy, grey day and supposed to rain. According to my phone app it’s still supposed to snow tomorrow, only now it’s mixed with rain. I don’t need to go anywhere, so it doesn’t much matter.

Lots to do today but no motivation to get anything done.

We ventured out into the world. Go Us! OK, actually we went to the sto’, bought groceries, got N.O.L. from the deli, came back to da cave, et, and put groceries away. Still, that counts as adventure. I mean, the grocery sto’ on Sattidy!

The weather PTB have no idea what’s goin’ on I have decided. An eighty percent of rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon/evenin’ is now a forty percent chance. They also claim we’ll have highs in the low to mid 60s for the next three days. Da bear remains skeptical. :dubious:

Yeah, swampy, there was a 75% chance of rain today on yesterday’s forecast, when I got up this morning at 0600, it was down to 5% and except for a drop or two, we’ve had no rain.

Is noticeably cooler, about 57F is the high, so the long-sleeve referee shirt made it appearance as I opened the outdoor soccer season with an 0800 Under-10 game. Went well, but the 1030 game had both team not show up (it’s fall break here, so a lot of folks take off), so I watch the Under-6’s for a little bit (no referees needed for them, just coaches pointing them in the right direction) and came home. Feeling nappy so probably going to rest my eyes (and the rest of me) shortly.

The kitchen floor has been cleaned. Dishwasher was emptied, rinsed with vinegar, and refilled with dirties. There’s a peach crisp in the toaster oven and I just started the corned beef. In a couple of hours, I’ll add veggies to the meat. Meanwhile, I think it’s a good time to do puzzles.

I have been declared evile! I bought chawklit chip cookie dough whilst at the sto’. OYKW was nappin’ and I decided that was a good time to bake up the cookies. He claims the smell woke him up from a good nap.

Spidey I shall show that to OYKW. Sounds like a good reason to make a road trip to Clumbers and also eat at the exceptionally good Chinese place while there.

Howdy. Boy child is nagging me about video game shopping he wants to do. He has money. But I do not really want to go to Gamestop as passionately as Little Man.

I stayed up until almost 5 AM. Had a case of the “Cannot Sleeps”.

We are out of half n’ half for coffee. Blurf describes this. Blurf.

I couldn’t decide what to do first, so I did the only sensible thing when faced with indecision and took a nap.

I finally heard back from the mortgage company, they sent me a bunch more papers to sign. I found the 10 differences in the two pictures in People. I put the recycling in the can and now I’m catching up on WWF while I’m logged in to irk. Maybe I’ll do a few online surveys and make my 50 cents for the day.

Sunny looks like you need to go shoppin’ for Half 'n Half and games.

I am no longer evile. Cookies have been eaten and all is forgiven.

Swampy, any time you want to wake me up to the smell of baking cookies, feel free. I’ll even email you my address and give you directions so you won’t get lost.

“A cookie can mask a thousand wrongs.”

Worthy of embroidery on a throw pillow!

My new washer and dryer create quite the sauna effect in the laundry when both are goin’ at the same time. I had to open the laundry room door for a couple minutes before I could stand to go in there.

It’s cold here today! The wind is blowing too. I’d wanted to do yard work but I’m staying inside, not just because of the weather but I want to be able to hear my phone if it rings. See, I’m a Luddite who does not own a cell phone, although I do, obviously, have a computer. My mom had another bad headache and may call if she needs help with something.

Wish I could have some cookies.

Or a tattoo, even!

Supper was yum. Peach crisp and 'niller ice cream for later. I think I’ll crochet some coasters - my sis asked me to make her some for Terripalooza 2016. She’s buying so I’m crocheting.

I have been to the grocery sto’, baked cookies, cooked a roast beast for tomorrow, and washed and dried two loads of clothes. I say that’s enough domesticity for one day. Dindin is forage in da fridge and/or pantry.

Crocheted coasters? I never heard of such a thing! Then again most of the coasters in da cave are actually big cut glass ash trays so what do I know.

Yarn or thread? I have patterns for both, although coasters don’t really require much. A flat, colorful circle will do!:stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve got a big crock pot full of stew going and it shall soon be ready to eat.

Other than that, I’ve just been catching up on some household chores. I’m not quite done, but I’ve made a very large dent.

The weather here started out cloudy and slightly damp, then switched to bright sunshine, and is now reverting back to cloudy. I’m sure the rain will be moving in soon.

Nobody ever wakes me up with the smell of baking cookies. :frowning: I think this situation needs to be rectified.

We’re not going out for once, and that suits me just fine. Sometimes it’s nice to just stay home, take care of chores, and not have worry about looking presentable to the public.

I worked, I came home. The Canes lost. But I have a fridge o’ good beer.

{{{Taters}}}!!! LTNS! How’ve you been? Come back, tell us all and when come bring pie!

I did a pot roast with carrots and parsnips in the slow cooker for tomorrow. After deheathenization butter beans, garlic smashed N.O.T., and corn sticks shall be prepared as well. We shall have us a big ol’ Sunday N.O.L.! I might even make a peach cobbler. It’ll be like Sunday dindin at granny’s.

We have an alleged cool front comin’ in. However, 'tis pretty warm out as I post. We shall see.
