Lunch from Bert’s has been ingested. We’ve also put the gates back on, and I’ve got the sprinkler going on the newly seeded part of the back yard. I’ve got 3 areas to water, since we’re not expecting much in the way of rain.
The benchfor the end of the bed has arrived and has been assembled. Once my sweetie wakes up, it’ll be moved to its new home. The top of the new bed is 30-ish inches above floor level, making it difficult for 5’5" me to sit upon it and don my socks and shoes. This little seat will make my life better, and that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it? Plus we can store the shoes we wear most often, and won’t that be handy??
The test involved a lot of stuff I know, like reading comprehension, and a lot of stuff I don’t know, like government accounting and labor relations. We’ll see how I did.
Since I started the test early, I finished early and went home. Since today was windy but still acceptably warm, I walked to our quaint version of downtown for a sumptuous lunch of chicken gyro from the local Greek diner and a treat from the candy shop across the street. Now I’m home on the sofa, resting my aching pods and letting my Fitbit charge.
Rockin’ you have reminded me to charge my Fit thingie too.
I’ve been experimenting with different types of grout cleaner and doing laundry. I tell ya the fun never ends.
Speaking of which the white trash son of the next door neighbor came back and moved in. On the plus side, the RV isn’t in the street. Negatives: he’s always working on his broken truck in the street; his second favorite occupation is yelling at his SO so loudly I keep contemplating calling the police. He also likes to liven things up by doing construction, complete with hammer and power saw after 10 at night. The very BEST part is that they are keeping 1 cat and 7 kittens in a crate in the garage. Because they want to find them good homes, but can’t take them out of the crate for reasons.
I am now trying to find homes for the kittens, because I just can’t stand it. Some people should not have animals. Did I mention that they don’t spay or neuter? Just grrrr.
Sunny, I met a woman last night who has dogs that she refuses to spay or neuter. She just doesn’t “believe” in it. Never mind that half the night was spent talking about one of her dogs that got out and wandered around the neighborhood. All of ours are fixed. They’re wonderful and we’re glad we have them around, but there doesn’t need to be any more of them.
Airman is working tomorrow, which means I get to finish cleaning the living room (which is perfectly OK with me because he’s ended up with nasty respiratory allergies because of dust) and start the dining room. I have a feeling the dining room is going to be a lot emptier because I’m FINALLY going to just get rid of the tubs that take up room in there. I swear I am!
Howdy Y’all! I irked and then we went to a new (for us, it’s been here several months) fish market/restaurant for dindin. SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!! I had broiled grouper and OYKW had grilled salmon. You can buy fresh fish to take home and cook, or they will cook it for you anyway you want, or you can eat there. I shall definitely be shoppin’ for fish there and we will definitely be back to eat. OYKW is not a real huge fan of fish outside of catfish and shell fish, but he really liked this place.
Home and leftovers for dinner. Tomorrow I teach Hunter Education and then relax. Since its turning cold for the weekend again I’m taking it as a sign from God to chill out.
CupCakes they did have some really nice lookin’ catfish filets. I believe one can even get whole catfish if ordered ahead. I cannot imagine why one would want to scale/gut/clean their own catfish but to each his/her own I suppose. I use to say I do my fishin’ at the Pubic Sto’ but I do believe I have found another fishin’ hole.
Kinda sorta slept in today. I woke multiple times, but fell back to sleep till I decided to get up at 6:30. I guess I’m rested enough.
Today’s big plan is cleaning the kitchen floor. And laundry, but that’s hardly a plan, just one of those things. First, after my sweetie gets up, we’ll go to breakfast. Till then, I’m in slug mode.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 61 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 75 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon and evenin’. We shall see.
Spidey I am approximately 80 miles southeast of Columbus. I grew up 45 miles northeast of Columbus. “The Valley” refers to the Chattahoochee River Valley of which Columbus is a part.
OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. After that, who knows. No real plans for the day although laundry needs to be done. I have a hunk of beast thawin’ that shall get turned into pot roast for tomorrow’s N.O.L. I may throw it in the slow cooker today or I may do that early tomorrow mornin’. I’m all willy-nilly that way.
