Springing Forward in the MMP

My friend* offered me suite tixs to the Suxers game tonight. As I had other plans, I turned them down…bad mistake. ::shudder::

Did not have any Irish whiskey today as I wasn’t any place that serves it. Ruble, is a good bottle of Scotch from a geographically close enough location to qualify as celebrating the day?

  • If he was a good friend he wouldn’t have even offered them to me. :dubious:

Today wasn’t so bad as far as days go. I got a little bit done outside but it was too chilly and windy to do too much.
Sah-son got some interesting emails from the college but he won’t even consider any of them. He’s been invited to join a fraternity. He’s been invited to come in and talk about joining the naval reserves. There’s an event being held at a local park for his astronomy class. It’s not required but he can earn some extra credit. Families are invited, there will be high powered telescopes, some guest speakers, and hands on things for the kids.
His answers are NO, HELL NO, and NO.
I’m going to try to drag him to the event at the park.

I’m hungry, but if I eat this close to bedtime my stomach will hurt half the night.

What the heck to I know? I’m Siberian and brew potato juice in my coal cellar!

But in honor of the day I present the greatest Irish song ever written

and the Irish-American National Anthem

This is the Irish National Anthem. (NSFW)

And if you are an Irish bad, you have to cover this

It is THE END!!! <insert happy dance here>

I brought in a tote bag for all my personal stuff. I’ve got a list so I don’t forget anything. I intend to be outta here by 9, unless the boss-person screws me over. I’ll go talk to him in a bit.

So, in a few short hours, I’ll be in WalMart!! WOOHOO!!!

Does that sound as pathetic to you as it does to me?

Happy Firday!

Happy last day at unwork, FCM!

Some of this company’s policies read like a compilation of “pet peeves different managers had”.

  • no music copied into company computers
  • no streaming
  • no unauthorized computing systems at work
Maybe they hope we’ll start a chorus? Rammstein, Metallica, Mago de Oz and Queen, a capella…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 56 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 76 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse. We shall also have a major cool down to sixty on Sunday and Moanday with temps risin’ back to more normal after that. Right now the prediction for Easter is rain. We shall see.

Today is irk from home day. YAY! I need to catch up on case notes and as per usual, do some on-line trainin’. I am currently up to date but I know there’s some in queue with due dates as early as mid next week so might as well get a jump on ‘em. Also, I have a conference call this mornin’. Rah.

OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. I suppose I should purtify a bit as well.

Happy Firday Y’all!

I have shredded. I have packed my personal items. I have purged most of my assorted links - logging off this site will be the last thing I do before I go - if I forget, I’ll have to change my password… so don’t forget!!

Dunno how I’ll waste the next couple of hours. I need to find out from the boss if there’s anyone else I need to check out with besides turning in my CAC.

I am *soooooooooo *done!

I didn’t make corned beef and cabbage, but Airman, the sprog, and I went out with Airman’s father and stepmother. OM NOM NOM! Corned beefs are also crazy expensive; I’m going to wait until this weekend, when they go on sale for half-price.

I’m alternating between “I think I’ve got the job! :D” and “Oh, Jesus, I blew it! :smack:” There’s some stuff that I have to do for my current job that I’m holding off on because it’s a waste of my and HR’s time if I do it and I leave. OTOH, if I don’t get the new job, I have to do it and explain why I took my sweet time. (Since this has to do with extracurricular activities, I’m actually inclined to tell HR to fuck right off, but that’s not advisable.)

Half-day today to take yet another civil service exam. Yay.

Boss just told me that if I get bored with the new job, there’s always a place for me here. Just warms the cockles of my heart…

I’ll hang around another hour or so, then poof

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Got a short shif tonight ,since i had to cover another shift Wednesday.

Happy Firday!

I’ve been up since 4:30, tried to go back to sleep. I’ll be paying for it later.

It’s a chilly 52 degrees outside, supposed to get up to 59. Not too cold.
According to my phone app, we are supposed to get snow on Sunday.

Today’s agenda is to irk and drive the kid to take his Astronomy mid-term. I also have to do something with the chicken and ground beef in the fridge. I bought too many frozen groceries and ran out of room in the freezer, so I put the chicken and ground beef in the fridge to thaw. I’ll probably bake the chicken with tomatoes, and make spaghetti or meatloaf with the ground beef.

Happy Last Day! FCM

Crossing fingers for Rockin’

Perpetual Blurfage: The Saga Continues

Mooomm Conga rats!

To the ROW - blurf. Up late with Kid 1, refereeing homework (I don’t do it, but she needs watching, or she doesn’t do it either).

Ttyl

I almost never get sick, but it’s happened. And right in the middle of a heavy rehearsal season with my wind orchestra too. :frowning: My wind-orchestra friends are already worried about me getting them sick, and I’m worried about getting them sick.

And a bunch of my friends are having a party without me tomorrow night. :frowning: I have to stay home because I don’t want to get anyone sick.

Arrgh.

Computer still in the shop. I think I’ll phone them today and see if it can be saved.

MOOOOOOM did you do cartwheels on your way out this mornin’?

{{{Midget}}} feel better soonest.

I just lived through the conference call. Go Me! I reckon I should get back to catchin’ up on case notes.YAWN Soooooooooooo borin!

I will dance with joy in support!

Quietly sing “Take This Job and Shove It” as you walk out.

And remember rules 1, 3, 5 and 7 ---- no poofters!

Home!!! YAAAAAYY!!

I got most of the stuff I needed at WalMart. The guy doing our parking pads and new grass is almost done. I may just take my sweetie to lunch!

Only forgot one thing - I meant to write “So long and thanks for all the fish” on my white board. Oh well…

Sari, what time is dinner & can I park in your parking pad w/of fear of being towed when I come to eat all of that excess food?
Mooommm’s an unemployed slacker. :stuck_out_tongue:

Feel better, Midget!

Off to work in a bit, unlike that slacker, Mooommm!.:stuck_out_tongue:
