This is why I could never work retail or food service. The sheer numbers of people one deals with daily guarantees far too many encounters with* Teh Stoopit*!!!
I don’t know why it continues to amaze me that by leaving 5 minutes later than usual I end up 20 minutes later to work. Today was especially fun - not only was traffic heavier, but I seemed to catch at least every other light as I headed down the road. Not that it matters if I’m late to work - Firday is my last day here after all - but getting here early ensures I get the parking space I want! In the six months I’ve been here, I’ve only had to cross the street for parking once.
Dreary, drizzly day, and nothing on my desk yet. Guess I’ll have to talk to the boss. ugh.
C’mon, Firday! Meanwhile, Happy Tuesday!
I’ve been here 2 hours. Ain’t done a thing yet. But it was *sooooooooooo *crucial that I give the boss the full 2-weeks notice.
I’m not going to know how to act next week when I have actual work to do!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I’m off today.
You know, those two sentences don’t have to go together…
At work, I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, after lasting most of the day yesterday. As for obstacles in my way, I have to sit in a 90-minute meeting for my boss today and I forgot my appointment yesterday to renew my Common Access Card (it expires 3 April, 27 days before I retire, but you can enter base or use your computer without it). Made a new appointment for 31 March, hopefully I’ll remember that one…
Hope DH has bloody good times with the transfusion.
FCM, I hope you get the work you need. One reason I’m retiring is that I have too much time to read the SDMB at work (which is not a totally bad thing, but…).
For those keeping track, in the 3 anna half hours I’ve been in the office, I’ve printed out one (count 'em ONE!) drawing. I heard the boss talking to folks nearby, but he hasn’t come to see me yet.
Instead, I’ve been reading Wikipedia entries and thinking about going out to the car to get some tissues, since I’ve use my all up and my nose is still mega-drippy.
Beware the Ides of March, indeed…
Up, Kid 2 off to school. Kid 1 does not have school today. I will try and rouse her around noon.
Migraine is worse today. For some reason, the Botox makes the next day or so worse. Bleah. AngryWabbit (made that up - don’t remember your nickname - sowwy) where is your neurologist located?
Happy Toesday y’all.
Finished a coffee.
Computer, please come home soon, and intact…
Not all of us are inside all of the time.
In doggio’s case, the second sentence is redundant. Oh wait, was he talking about work & not mental status? :dubious:
As for seeing clearly, the only obstacle is a bright, bright sunshiney blindspot.
I had pie for breakfast, leftover from last night’s celebration of the day. Last night was apple with black razzle berry ice cream (which was purple in color ). Sadly, dinner was chicken & not steak.
**Warning: **I’ds beware the Ides if I’s was you.
I managed to kill 10 minutes by walking out to my car to get some tissues, then another stroll to the kitchenette to heat up some water for tea.
Meanwhile, I can’t leave here for 5 anna half more hours…
You are correct, I drove to work in the dark this morning.
That’s OK – I wasn’t a C-section.
Up and ready for work. What fine adventure does The Jungle have in store for me today? Finding out is half the fun.
Despite vowing to take it easy and ignore my chores and responsibilities I managed to have a productive day yesterday. As a result, I am hardly grumpy at all today. I am currently having coffee and thinking about cake and doughnuts.
Dammit, now I want a donut!
Happy Toosday!
It’s grey, rainy, and icky outside.
I slept until 10:30, can I get any lazier?
Finally got the FAFSA to go through. It would help a great deal if the error messages pointed to the real error. Telling us over and over that the id and password don’t match isn’t helping us fix it when the real error is that the password he created last year doesn’t meet the criteria for creating a password this year.

wet one, my hoss is a Kawasaki.
Mooooom, in all likelihood, your first week at the new gig won’t involve so much work as orientation and other crap.
I’ve been rather productive today, even with the hand-holding that I’ve had to do with my boss and another supe when I found the errors in one department were caused by a director.
Whew - finally a break!!! I’ve done almost 3 hours of work today!!! The horror!!!
I’m trying to decide what I’ll make for supper. I’d like poke chops, but I’ll have to thaw them fast. Just tuck one under each arm… I hate getting home after 4 - it makes my evening insanely rushed till we’re done with supper. And eating later really isn’t an option - apart from being really hungry, I don’t like to eat too close to bedtime - makes it tougher to fall asleep.
Anyway, that’s the current dilemma.
went to the dentist today. I’ll need some extractions and partials, and one little cavity. But I will have my smile in time for my HS reunion in June
Home at last. We’re going out to eat because the poke chops will take forever to thaw. We’ll have them tomorrow.
I felt like I was falling asleep as I drove home. The last couple of miles, I was really struggling to keep my eyes open. That’s scary! But I’m fine. And tahred. And hungry.
I was sleepy for a bit, now I’m awake.
Mostly my stomach hurts because I heated up the chicken pot pie for breakfast and it tasted so good, I ate it all in one sitting.
I got my state refund back already - that was quick.
I haven’t heard from the mortgage company about the refinance. I suppose I should call them and see what is going on.
