Hullo, chums. I’m determined to post before going to bed. Today was back-to-back phone calls from people who needed to have long conversations. I don’t mind, but I didn’t get to eat dinner until an hour ago.
Spring cleaning: I don’t really need to do any since my daughter did most of it while she was here. I need to clean out my closet, but I don’t see how I’ll get time between now and Friday, when son and wife plus dogs arrive. I try and usually fail to clean out things like closets on a rotating basis.
I won’t get into daughter’s dilemmas–more twists, more turns. I told her today I was impressed that she’s able to deal with her STBX in such a calm and neutral manner. She said she sees no need for revenge, as it’s coming on its own. His extended LDS family is furious with him about the baby. Wait ‘til they hear about the divorce.
She really, really needs and wants a job. Her line of work has been heavily damaged by You-Know-Who and His Band of Scary Men (and women).
I have an appointment with the pain doc tomorrow–a follow-up after the back surgery. I predict he’ll say, “Well, it takes two full months to kill off the nerves. Let’s give it a while longer,” at which point I’ll screech and throw myself at his feet, begging for relief. I’m fresh out of pride. I’ve tried every OTC pain reliever out there and once, in desperation, took an opioid. Nothing works. The opioid gave me the icky side effects but no pain relief.
Mollie, I salute your courage. You may not feel brave, but every step you’ve taken has required derring-do.
Shoe, SO glad to see you back! You’ve been missed!
Boo, so good to see you! Hats off for joining the masses for No Kings Day! I SOOO badly wanted to go, but I just can’t do all the standing and walking. I read that it was the biggest crowd in the capital’s history.
I’m so sorry about your arm and the osteo diagnosis. You have a Medigap plan, right? I’m on semi-annual injections for osteopenia, which are covered, so hopefully your shots will be, too. Also, you do a lot of good taking care of kiddies and kitties like you do.
FCM, you might try holding the grands by the ankles and dunking them in vats of Germ-X. Lay flat in sun to dry. I hope they recover quickly and that the rest of you avoid infection.
I’m struggling to make sense, so I’d better head to bed.
