Steve Jobs personally designed 260 ft yacht finished after his death - Is this an attractive ship?

Seems kind of starkly wedge shaped. Not all that attractive IMO.

It’s too simple, IMHO. Any moron with a straightedge could have designed that. They could have at least rounded the corners and called it an iYacht.

Yup and any moron with half a billion dollars or so to spare for a toy could have actually built it.

It isn’t particularly great looking IMHO but if anyone could design a minimalist 260 foot yacht it was Jobs.

Does it have an iPod dock?

If you cover up the bit below the windows you get quite an appealing 1930s feel. The lower hull completely spoils that so the net effect is bleaugh.

It looks like a floating office building.

An ugly floating office building.

Bet it’s pretty swanky inside, though.

Great Og that thing’s ugly.

I like it

Looks like a WWI era battleship with simple house on it.

It’s only design feature is the complete lack of design features.

I wouldn’t call it a thing of beauty, but I don’t think it’s especially noteworthily ugly.

I think it’s butt ugly as it doesn’t incorporate any of the traditional sweeping lines and curves found in naval and aviation architecture, those that have made ships and planes more fluid and aerodynamic, and inspirational things of beauty.

But knowing Steve there’s a lot more to it than simply what meets the eye and you’d probably depart with a smile on your face.

It looks like someone decided to turn a barge into a houseboat, but that said, I’d dip my balls in it!

One thing’s for sure - there will be no mistaking it for someone else’s.

Well it’s certainly… err… distinctive! :dubious:

Stevie should have stuck with what he knew: small electronic gadgets.

Then they could have applied for patents for the iPropeller and iAnchor, then sued every other boat manufacturer in the world for violation of their patents on “ovallated propeller blades” and “double-swooped anchors” and “rounded corners”.

Wait, that last one was for the iPhone. My bad.

As far as the ship itself? Rather ugly (rugly?).

I’ll wait until the second version comes out (in 9 months), then buy this one at half price.

It’t the Villa Savoye of the sea!

When I first glanced at the control console I thought it was a pic of the laundry room.
All that money spent, and they have to run an extension cord??

Yes, but not for the fifth generation model. :smack:
