Stupid Republican idea of the day

I see 16 names. That reads as single-elimination tournament to me.

That’s what all those vacant Walmarts are being converted to!

I have zero inside knowledge, but I was intentionally vague with the term, “better custody services”. There could be all sorts of related transactions to the gold in addition to simple receive and deliver, such as selling of options, use as margin, hedging against forex, etc. Just saying that UT investment advisers are not necessarily foolish to use HSBC instead of the FRB based on a higher level of fees.

Heh. I thought Jindal announced, but nobody noticed, or cared.

From Georgia, my home state. Why oh why do we keep electing idiots to office … oh, right. Our voters.

I want to see the edition of Storage Wars in a few years, when some bureaucrat forgets to send the check in on time.

“OK, what you got here is one hundred ten pounds of solid gold. Best I can do is $20.”

The Republicans are trying to spin the Charleston shooting as an attack on Christians, not on blacks. Lindsey Graham specifically said that on The View this morning, and now Rick Santorum is saying it.

And FOX News is saying it now, too.

I guess the fact that the shooter told the people in the church that he was killing them because they were trying to take over “our country” means that Christians were trying to take over our country, hm?

smh

and raping “our women.”

Don’t forget about how he was saying Christians do that!

Fox. It only took a minute.

Lordy.

That’ll last until they figure out that the shooter was Christian, too…then they’ll turn to blaming Al Sharpton, like they always do.

Now it’s Obama’s fault, because there weren’t enough guns to defend the Church.

That’s the new Fox spin.

When, oh when, will we legally require that our pastors and priests go about armed at all times and END this madness?

Wouldn’t work anyway. The pastor was black. No guns for him!

So the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a God guy with a gun?

Re: The Charleston shooting-All flags are at half mast at the state capitol…except the confederate flag.

Because, apparently, there’s a law that requires legislative approval to do so. For just that flag.

Your choice what’s most idiotic here: the very presence of the flag, the law, the fact that no one in the state legislature realized the optics and failed to frantically assemble a quorum to vote the flag at half mast…

Awwww, I can only pick just one? :frowning:

Or that there was not one person with the courage to defy that law and haul that flag down. Make them prosecute that law and defend it for months.

Indeed.

The only way it could be dumber is if someone DID think of the optics, but genuinely thought the Stars and Bars had no racial significance, so dismissed it.
