Stupid Republican idea of the day

Is this Republican-ese for “If I were President, I’d blow up a lot more shit than Obama has?”

Trump says the he will fine Mexico $100,000 for every illegal crossing the border.

How do we accurately count people who are secretly sneaking across the border, and how do you prove that count to Mexico?

How do we make Mexico pay the fine? Do we go to war when they refuse?

We make them take Texas back.

Well, invading and occupying Mexico would solve the problem of Mexican citizens emigrating to America, since there’d no longer be any such place as “Mexico” away from which they could steal.

I’m a little more fascinated by the economic consequences if such a thing could be put into effect. If the U.S. suddenly turned a profit on each immigrant who crossed the border illegally, it would be in our interest to encourage as many as possible. Does Trump say if he’d send them back, or does that $100,000 buy them the right to stay here? If we do deport them, we could send them back with instructions on how best to sneak back in.

Mexico, on the other hand, would now have the economic incentive to keep people in. They could build a fortified fence and guard towers to keep people from crossing the border at all costs. I seem to remember when East Germany did that we criticized them, too.

Fuck 'em, and the horse upon in which they rode.

That’s cold, luci.

Hey, Texas wants to leave the Union.

*In *which they rode ? Are Mexicans Greek now ?

Yeah, what the hell did Mexico ever do to deserve Texas? Mexico has enough problems as it is.

More importantly, how do we go about securing the border with Texas? I mean, there will be some people who actually want to stay in Texas, but can we handle the inevitable influx of refugees? Is suffocating stupidity a justification for refugee status?

“Blow them all up and let god sort it out” only contains words of one syllable, and in terms of foreign policy what more do you need?

Texans to “practice counter-insurgency” while U.S. special forces participate in Operation Jade Helm.

Nitpicks:

  1. What you’re describing is not counter-insurgency, it is insurgency. Counter-insurgency means putting down rebels.
  2. What you’re describing is not even insurgency, it’s more like what the Black Panthers used to do, following cops around to deter police brutality.

But are they big syllables or little syllables?

They’re announcing that they intend to interfere with military exercises? It seems like that must be illegal somehow.

This being the Republic of Texas, I’m sure they view the US military as an insurgent force.

Get your United States out of my Texas!

Don’t insurgencies usually come from the inside? They’re more likely to view to view the US military as a foreign force.

Judge Roy Moore says that the U.S. Supreme Court “destroyed the institution of God” by legalizing same-sex marriage.

So apparently he thinks:
[ul][li]God is an institution.[*]God can be destroyed and SCOTUS has done so.[/ul][/li]Then there’s this gem from the same article.

So you can have religious freedom as long as the religion you freely choose is his.

I have to say it seems pointless to belong to a religion who’s god has been destroyed, but what do I know?

So now can we talk about abolishing all the churches and their various privileges ? :stuck_out_tongue:
