Middle aged N. Carolina men, probably stuck in crappy, poorly-paid jobs, perhaps disgruntled about their lives and the spiritual emptiness of life under modern American capitalism. I’m actually pretty sympathetic up to that point.
Unfortunately, they’re also sure to be dim, susceptible to right wing agitprop, and their American individualism guided them towards some grandiose scheme that had no chance of working, but would have proved to everyone how awesome they were personally if it had, since becoming famous is the only worthwhile endeavor in life.
In fairness, I’m not sure you could actually say that Larry, Moe and Curly (or judging by their hairstyles, perhaps they are Curly, Curly, and Larry) are Republicans. I don’t really peg them as Mitt Romney supporters.
I can’t see Larry, Darryl, and Darryl as being Democrats; certainly not Obama supporters.

If you’re talking about the “Newhart” characters then yeah, Larry did seem to be the brains of that bunch (which isn’t saying much), but I was talking about the three guys who planned to single-handedly defeat Jade Helm.
I’ve got the DVR set to record both. The real adult one at 8:50, and the kids’ table version at 5:00. I hope the DVR doesn’t balk at recording Fox News. It’s never had to do that before.
Maybe the content will fool the DVR into thinking you’re recording the Comedy Channel?

I definitely plan to watch the kiddy table debate, because they are all gonna be desperate for attention and saying hilariously stupid things to get it. The grown up debate won’t have the same level of desperation, plus, it’s unhappy-making to think that one of the candidates might get elected.

This is my problem. I’m hoping the debate format isn’t like their regular programming. I can’t take their smarmy misleading “reporting”, and disingenuous arguments. I end up yelling at the TV and wanting to throw something.

No, neither one is remotly true.
All the oil money goes into a Sovereign Wealth fund, and has done for decades. Currently it owns 1-2 % of publically listed stocks outside of Norway. Norways social expenses and projects are not financed “exclusively” with oil profits, they are in fact financed without a cent of oil money.
Thats is why Norway is about the same in terms of social spending and welfare as Sweden, Finland, Denmark etc.
And the oil fields are not socialized, unless by “socialized” you mean “the government declined to sell them to private interests after discovering that they held oil”.
