And the funny thing is, Common Core was an effort by a group of States, not a federal effort (albeit the Feds did support it once the states agreed upon it).
I thought the Republicans were in favor of letting the states decide things. Or maybe only when they decide things that the Federal Government hates…
Technically, he is only boycotting the Pope’s Congressional visit. I don’t think he’s calling for an antipope or anything. But really, it’s only odd if he preached absolute obedience to Catholic dogma in the past (which he may well have done).
I was going to make a little joke “is that guy still running for president?”, but the article beat me to it.
I suspect that he’s being paid to stay in just so he can take potshots at Trump, though Carly is so much more effective at it that he may not have any remaining value at all to the establishment.
Wow! that is some plutonium grade stupid there. When I saw your post, I assumed that this must be one of those cases where the headline over sells the stupidity, I mean after all Santorum can’t really be stupid enough to suggest that the United states shouldn’t engage in diplomacy, but there it is clear as day.
[QUOTE=Santorum]
“It’s like, if all the tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail,” Santorum said. “Every problem that the State Department has, the answer is diplomacy. Why? Because if it’s not diplomacy, they don’t have a job.””

I’m still astounded that more aren’t astounded. I could understand boycotting a speech by Obama the Kenyan terrorist, but for a Catholic to boycott the Vicar of Christ? Is this the first time a Pope has addressed Congress?
Is it fear that the Pope will drop a bombshell – men should be allowed to marry their goats and pigs – or is it just that the Pope should stay barefoot in the sacristy where he belongs and not try to learn science?
