Stupid Republican idea of the day

And the funny thing is, Common Core was an effort by a group of States, not a federal effort (albeit the Feds did support it once the states agreed upon it).

I thought the Republicans were in favor of letting the states decide things. Or maybe only when they decide things that the Federal Government hates…

It is a puzzlement.

Of course Ted Nugent is against Planned Parenthood; the chicks he likes to fuck aren’t old enough to get pregnant anyway.

Holy crap, just read the comments for that video. I’ll be in the closet with my blankie.

Jeb! got pranked by a bunch of Bernie Sanders supporters.

You could do that same video, only in reverse. Attribute the policy to the Republican candidate and see how many of them drool over it.

And, of course, it has been documented how many people support every aspect of “Obamacare”, while opposing “Obamacare”.

I know GOP stupidity sinks ever lower, but a Catholic boycotting the Pope struck me as very … odd. No?

Technically, he is only boycotting the Pope’s Congressional visit. I don’t think he’s calling for an antipope or anything. But really, it’s only odd if he preached absolute obedience to Catholic dogma in the past (which he may well have done).

Two Tennessee legislators have introduced a bill before the state legislature declaring the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage null and void within the state of Tennessee.

Bobby Jindal is OK with a Muslim President, so long as he supports Judeo-Christian values and swears on a Bible.

I was going to make a little joke “is that guy still running for president?”, but the article beat me to it.

I suspect that he’s being paid to stay in just so he can take potshots at Trump, though Carly is so much more effective at it that he may not have any remaining value at all to the establishment.

Awesome! Another nullification crisis. Those have always gone so well.

Rick Santorum wants to do away with the State Department because they only want to use diplomacy to do their jobs.

Jeb!'s son George P, the elected Texas Land Commissioner, doles out triple digit jobs to his campaign workers and frat brothers. And spends his time campaigning for his father instead of doing the job he was elected to do.

John Kasich loves Hispanics so much he leaves them tips.

Wow! that is some plutonium grade stupid there. When I saw your post, I assumed that this must be one of those cases where the headline over sells the stupidity, I mean after all Santorum can’t really be stupid enough to suggest that the United states shouldn’t engage in diplomacy, but there it is clear as day.
“It’s like, if all the tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail,” Santorum said. “Every problem that the State Department has, the answer is diplomacy. Why? Because if it’s not diplomacy, they don’t have a job.””
I need a drink.

Ah, Tennessee; their motto is: “We’re not as dumb as Mississippi and Alabama, but we’re trying hard to get there!”

And every problem the Defense Department has, the answer is force, because if it’s not force, they don’t have a job.

That’s why we have a Defense Department and a State Department, Senator. So that there’s more than one tool in the box.

More than one tool running for the Republican Presidential nomination, too.

Are you debating with Frothy Mix?

And of course, there’s the questionable logic of “Hmm, maybe I rely on that tool too much. THE TOOL MUST BURN !!!”

Not that anybody would ever accuse the US of using diplomatic conflict resolution too much to begin with, of course

I’m still astounded that more aren’t astounded. I could understand boycotting a speech by Obama the Kenyan terrorist, but for a Catholic to boycott the Vicar of Christ? Is this the first time a Pope has addressed Congress?

Is it fear that the Pope will drop a bombshell – men should be allowed to marry their goats and pigs – or is it just that the Pope should stay barefoot in the sacristy where he belongs and not try to learn science?
