Stupid Republican idea of the day

The WTC bombing in '93 supposedly would have been successful but the van was parked too far from any supports.

I must confess I am confused. Did Giuliani somehow mis-speak? Does not seem likely. Did he actually not remember? Again, not likely.
Did he think that the core Republicans could be fooled by this completely transparent bullshit? Most likely.

Maybe he was doing math that make Republicans feel better about themselves.
Or Katrina Pierson wrote the speech.

He did say “successful” attack, and none of the 9/11 guys survived. So, there’s that.

Ah, but none of them meet the limits Giuliani put on his statement: “successful radical Islamic terrorist attack”.

Only the shoebomber was Islamist, and since his bobb didn’t explode, it was not ‘successful;’. Nor could you call the others successful either; the LAX shooter was killed, nobody got anthrax, the beltway snipers were caught, one is serving a life sentence, and the other was executed (after clemency request was denied by current Democratic VP candidate Tim Kaine).

Remember that Rudy Giuliani was a businessman, so he’s skilled at concealing gotcha’s in the fine print.

So were LAX shooter Hesham Mohamed Hadayet and Beltway sniper John Allen Muhammad.

You’re not making sense there. They successfully spread terror by killing people but were not successful because they were killed and/or captured? Wouldn’t they want to be killed so they can have their 72 virgins that much sooner?

“He’s a terrorist because he got captured. I like terrorists who weren’t captured.”

I never heard the Beltway Sniper’s religion had any part in his motive, or for that matter in the terror he generated

“Malvo testified that Muhammad, driven by hatred of America because of its ‘slavery, hypocrisy and foreign policy’ and his belief that ‘the white man is the devil’, planned to kill six whites a day for 30 days.” - London Telegraph, 25 May 2006

Okay, maybe they weren’t completely successful.

Maybe he’s trying out some of that Trump-style sarcasm?

Sarcasm? But he’s from New York!

Jack Kingston (former Congressman) has been shilling for Trump, ripping into Clinton for voting for the Iraq war on several occasions. Too bad CNN won’t fact-check him because he voted for it too.

If you’re referring to the 2001 anthrax mail attacks, 22 people were infected with anthrax, and 5 of them died. OTOH, those attacks have never been linked to radical Islamic terrorism.

Nah, he was a lawyer.

So your point stands. Taller, in fact.

Yeah, maybe the “Death to Israel” and “Allah Is Great” lines from the note were band names or something.

Sometimes, murderously deranged people are less than honest about their motivations.

“Bush kept us safe” is gospel among Republicans.

Yeah, and remember how pissed off they were when Trump used “9/11 was your broher’s fault” to attack Jeb! during the primaries?

If 9iu11ani is going to stump for Trump, maybe he should get the story straight. Especially since that was one of the very scant few times that something Trump said was accurate.

Marsha Blackburn (on CNN) just cited 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi to prove that Hillary left them to die.

She also thinks that Hillary personally told Harrison Ford to stand down.
