Joke, sorry. ![]()
No problem.
Shit. I can’t tell anymore.
I don’t think we can hang the blame for charter schools entirely on the GOP.
Some of it is Hillary’s fault, right?
RNC declares Mike Pence the winner an hour before the debate:
I was thinking of Rahm Emanuel. There are Democrats I despise who aren’t named Clinton.
“Towing” the line?
The Web/social net, with a valuable assist from Autocorrect, proceeds apace in the wrecking of English idiom (and standard spelling in general).
(If it’s any consolation it’s doing so to Spanish, too, and WE are supposed to spell phonetically already!)
If SCOTUS finds certain kinds of gerrymandering illegal, no one is in deep shit. Gerrymandering has been done since this country was founded and don’t think for a minute Democrats wouldn’t do it if they could. The only reason they whine about it nowadays is that geographic concentration of Democratic voters makes gerrymandering difficult, so much like voter turnout, another issue Democrats used to not care about, it’s become a defining moral issue of the day. At least according to Democrats.
Hey Bud, shut the fuck up. This is “Stupid Republican idea of the day” thread, not the “Stupid Republican” thread. Nobody wants to read your retarded spin on everything.
Hey-stop messing with his campaign to get this thread renamed after himself!
Now, now. There are plenty of 'tards out there living really kick-ass lives. My first wife was 'tarded. She’s a pilot now.
Oregon GOP candidate for governor thinks that only poor women get abused.
During a gubernatorial debate, incumbent Democratic governor Kate Brown referenced a recent study that showed half of Oregon women—more than the national average—have suffered some form of physical or sexual abuse in their life and revealing that she herself, a practicing lawyer and college professor before entering politics, had been a victim of domestic abuse in the past.
Bud Pierce, her Republican challenger, responded with this bit of wisdom:
“A woman that has a great education and training and a great job is not susceptible to this kind of abuse by men, women or anyone.”
His spokeswoman / press secretary immediately quit in protest.
What you thought you heard was not what I meant.
Yeah, he went the “Sorry if you took offence” route, which is as crappy an apology as “I’m sorry that YOU were misguided enough to take offence.”
Sounds like Mike Pence at the VP debate. “Trump didn’t say what he’s on videotape saying.”
Who ya gonna believe? Me, or your lying eyes and ears?*
Pence: “Who is this Trump person you people keep taking about? I’ve never even heard of him.”
Now I am hearing the voice of José Ferrer as Barney Greenwald in* The Caine Mutiny*. “You oughta read his testimony transcript: he never even HEARD of Donald Trump.”
In California now an independent commission, which is bi-partisan - does the redistricting. No matter. A finding that gerrymandering is unconstitutional would apply to both parties, which is fine with me.
And denying that it happens is absurd.
