I assume they’ll be pursuing a similar partisan balance by hiring Democrats to be police officers and district attorneys.

The fun part is that if a faculty member then changes their political affiliation the university will have to do a complete reshuffle and potential hire. And the whole current faculty could change their political affiliation to “Republican”, forcing the university to hire more Democrats. And all new candidates could change their political affiliation in order to improve their chances of getting hired.

Yeah, this is an excellent idea that will *totally *work.

I think it’s a great idea, if it means that educated, liberal professors have a reason to join the Republican Party. It’s high time the progressives took that party back from the fat cats and the stupid.

And what’s to stop you from claiming to be a Libertarian? Who’s going to bother to check… and besides, even if they spent thousands of hours investigating every faculty member and found out you voted for Obama or spotted a New York Times on your stoop, does that really disprove your claim?

Update: Fox News’ Justin Wells, Executive Producer of Tucker Carlson Tonight, has issued a statement to The Daily Beast regarding the segment.

“The program incorrectly identified a Los Angeles based protest participant as a ‘protest organizer’ in a graphic during Monday night’s telecast. While he was correctly identified in the introduction to the segment, we regret the graphic didn’t accurately reflect his role throughout the entire segment.”

Chances the correction will ever be made on air ? Absolute zero. But now they can point to that Daily Beast piece to show that they did issue an apology and retraction. Just, not anywhere their viewers would see it. Fookin’ brilliant, tha’ is.
