Trump as martyr. Maybe it’ll be a new religion.
I would surmise that for many rabid Trump supporters he already IS a martyr.
I think it’d me more like “The Establishment killed him because he was shaking things up so much.”
Right. A martyr.
This would require massive new rounds of circumcisions. Maybe I should set up shop as a Finger Mohel.
While everyone has been staring at the Trump-Comey pileup, a semi has been barreling toward us. The Senate is still working on repealing the ACA, and it looks like they’re very close. What seemed to be a dead issue only a week ago is now gaining steam.

They’re not going to let a little thing like a possible impeachment get in the way of fucking over the little guy.
Not the first thing I thought of.
You sir, are going places.
Republican election judge uncovers vote fraud!! By which I mean, Republican election judge pleads guilty to vote fraud.
Where is James O’Keefe when you need him?
I know this is a hijack, but I think it’s worthwhile to follow up on this:[
](http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_ASSAULT_CHARGE_GIANFORTE?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2017-06-09-18-58-23)He already settled the civil suit and he’s taking full responsibility for his actions. My opinion of Mr. Gianforte has risen considerably. This is a rare display of honesty and integrity from someone in the political arena (let’s be honest: most people would not have entered a guilty plea) and IMO it’s not only welcome but deserves acknowledgement. I trust there will be no recurrence or similar behavior in the future, of course.
His first reaction was to release a statement that was a lie from beginning to end. Blamed the reporter, lied about how the reporter acted. Didn’t change his tune until the news crew that was there set the record straight.
I’m not convinced he’s sincere.
Sincerity is hard to judge.
At least he did the right thing. That is becoming increasingly rare.
I’m impressed enough by his recent actions to allow him time to convince me one way or the other whether this was an aberration or not.
I (pretend to) know how both my grandpas and my dear grandma (bless her soul) would have voted, do I get to cast their ballots too ? Oooh, and that guy from high school whose mama stabbed to death along with his dad, brother and kid sister before hanging herself, I know how they’d have voted, too !
Oh good lord. Trust me, we don’t want the Mormons voting for all the people the baptized post-death.

I’m impressed enough by his recent actions to allow him time to convince me one way or the other whether this was an aberration or not.
His apology? Yes, that’s an aberration. He’s complained about people who write down his words and convey them to the public quite a bit. Mimed strangling them, too.

34% of the country has gone completely bonkers apparently. I’m convinced there will never be a lightbulb moment for these people. They could watch Trump get strung up for treason and convince themselves it’s a win. “He sacrificed himself for the cause!”
If one could reason with 45 supporters, there wouldn’t be any.

Sincerity is hard to judge.
At least he did the right thing.
Does it count if it was under duress? As in Ryan telling him to do it or else get shut out?
Where is James O’Keefe when you need him?
I’m not sure I can describe it, but in my mind it resembles a Bosch painting.
I knew it! He’s the guy who’s nothing but a giant mooning butt, right?

I’m impressed enough by his recent actions to allow him time to convince me one way or the other whether this was an aberration or not.
He’s a 56 year old with so little self-control that he physically attacked a reporter for being slightly annoying. If it’s an aberration I’ll eat my hat. To make matters worse, he’s also a fucking moron. From wiki:
Gianforte believes in Young Earth creationism, which maintains that the Earth is less than 10,000 years old.
Fuck that guy.
