These people think that “The Flintstones” was a documentary and that God made rocks that were already old just to fuck with us.

I’m from a Fundamentalist/Creationist background, so I’ve heard many arguments against Evolution, and that’s the most baffling. Okay, so now you’ve proved (well, maybe just to yourself) that you have a God who sat down a few thousand years ago and lovingly hand-crafted every rock… but He’s a dick?

He also scattered a bunch of dinosaur fossils and made apes look pretty much like humans just for laughs. He is apparently easily amused.

If he sat down and lovingly put together this entire world just for our benefit, and then saw what we did with it?
I’d be a bit pissed off too.

Trump could shoot a crippled orphan in the face with a spear gun, anally rape a covenant of nuns, and wipe his ass with the constitution while pissing on the Washington monument and 34% of the country’s reaction would be “FUCK YEAH!”

The nuns, after a shower, would point out that they live in a “convent”.

I’ve actually heard the pre-made old rocks thing “seriously” argued. I have also heard that as for stars that are more that 6000 light years from Sol that they were created with the light “already on the way”.
Convfefe, Covfefe, let’s call the whole thing off.

They’d say it was Baldwin.
Ten days ago, I cited this report:
Democrats face an unprecedented silent treatment from Trump World
Two months ago, congressional Democrats first went public with concerns that the Trump administration had ordered executive-branch officials to withhold information from Democratic offices. The Washington Post reported in April that leading lawmakers said “their staff members were told directly by workers in agencies that they could no longer speak with them.”
A month later, Senate Democrats raised the same concerns, accusing Donald Trump’s White House of “purposely ignoring requests for information” sent by Democratic offices.
Politico reports today that Dems aren’t paranoid; the administration’s partisan silent treatment is real.
The White House is telling federal agencies to blow off Democratic lawmakers’ oversight requests, as Republicans fear the information could be weaponized against President Donald Trump.
At meetings with top officials for various government departments this spring, Uttam Dhillon, a White House lawyer, told agencies not to cooperate with such requests from Democrats, according to Republican sources inside and outside the administration…. The declaration amounts to a new level of partisanship in Washington, where the president and his administration already feels besieged by media reports and attacks from Democrats. The idea, Republicans said, is to choke off the Democratic congressional minorities from gaining new information that could be used to attack the president.
The White House didn’t exactly deny this. On the contrary, a spokesperson said the administration’s policy is to “accommodate” oversight requests from committee chairs, “regardless of their political party.”

Well, here’s a (very non-stupid Republican ) response, from the Republican chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Charles Grassley:
WASHINGTON ― Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) sent a scathing letter this week to President Donald Trump, arguing that the Office of Legal Counsel is “flooding the swamp.”
“You are being ill-served and ill-advised,” the Senate Judiciary Committee chairman wrote, adding that the Department of Justice office had “utterly failed to live up to its own standards.”
Grassley’s letter was prompted by a May 1 memo from the OLC to other federal agencies, instructing them to effectively ignore any requests from Congress that do not come from chairs of committees or subcommittees. Requests from other individual members of Congress “do not trigger any obligation to accommodate congressional needs and are not legally enforceable,” the memo stated. (Since both houses of Congress are currently controlled by the GOP, that means don’t answer any questions from Democrats as well as most Republicans.)
The memo, signed by acting Assistant Attorney General Curtis Gannon, claimed that it was a “longstanding policy” for government agencies to accommodate “congressional requests for information only when those requests come from a committee, subcommittee, or chairman authorized to conduct oversight.”
“This is nonsense,” Grassley wrote. “For OLC to so fundamentally misunderstand and misstate such a simple fact exposes its shocking lack of professionalism and objectivity,” he told the president.
Grassley urged the White House to “rescind this OLC opinion and any policy of ignoring oversight request from non-Chairmen.”
The page has a copy of the letter.

Maybe it’s like a herd of cows or a pride of lions… you know, a covenant of nuns.
I’m pretty sure that’s a Waddle.
I was going to say the same thing so I know what you’re referencing.

There is a certain type of Christian who inexplicably thinks that the way to honour God is to use the intellect that is His greatest gift to us to call Him a liar.
Congressman Dana Rohrabacher praises the ISIS attacks in Iran, and thinks the US should consider working with ISIS in attacking Iran and other Shias.

At least this is a stupid Republican who will be disavowed by less stupid Republicans. Presumably.

From the article, he clarified :
like Tehran’s Reichstag, controlled by gangsters, tyrants, or terrorists (in or out of uniform), should not be considered off-limits.
I’m particularly tickled by that Reichstag line. The good Congressman is obviously going for “Iran’s all Hitler in the Hitlering with the Hitlers !”, but of course the Nazis had nothing but contempt for the Reichstag…
Also, put me down as one who did not know there was a terrorist uniform. Or a gangster one, for that matter. The more you know.
