That means it will also be well above the Republican heads in Congress.
As JohnT posted in the other giant thread (Clusterfuck), about half of those Wisconsin residents who identify as “religious” are Catholic. Wisconsin Religion

Ever the portrait in courage, our Mr. Ryan.
“Cletus, do ya think maybe that preacher’s making fun of us?”
Never go in against a Jesuit when logic’s on the line!
And never get involved in a land war in Syria!
Don Blankenship, former coal mine owner who went to jail after 29 miners died in a coal mine explosion, is out of jail and is running for US Senate in West Virginia. Surprisingly, as a Republican, he’s running his ads attacking Mitch McConnell (calling him “cocaine Mitch”) and Mitch’s “China family”.
In another ad, he claims he was innocent and “they” blew up the mine.
I know I could look it up somehow, but do people like that need an endorsement from the State Republican Party HQ, or whatever it’s called, in order to appear on a ballot as a Republican? What about that anti-semitic guy in California? Does he need to be endorsed by the state GOP in order to appear on the ballot as a Republican?
Nope. Lyndon LaRouche famously ran for the Presidency as a Democrat in 1992 while still in prison for fraud.
But he couldn’t vote, I assume.
Correct. If he had won, he would have been the first President in the era of pledged electors to win without voting for himself. And if frogs had wings, they wouldn’t bump their butts when they land.
Patrick Little, the Nazi Republican who is second in polling for the California Senate primary, was kicked out of the Republican state convention yesterday and left dragging and stepping on an Israeli flag.
And, one hopes, that’s the last we’ll ever hear of him.
This doesn’t count as a stupid Republican idea. This is a smart Republican idea.
Well, the original “Y’know what? I think I’ll be a Nazi.” wasn’t a smart idea.
Why would that be the case? The California Republican Party can throw him out of their convention, but they can’t stop him from running for senate as a Republican, and he’s still doing that and doing better than anyone else running as a Republican.
The leading Republican for the US Senate in West Virginia is Don Blankenship, who killed 29 people in a coal mine explosion.
Even Donald Trump is campaigning against him.
That will change should Odious Don (B) win the primary. See: Moore, Judge Roy.
This almost got me. It seemed so plausible, then I saw it was from The Onion.

Blankenship came in third in the primary.
That’s an alternative first.
