During Obama’s terms he managed to reduce the federal deficit by about 1 Trillion Dollars annually — that’s Trillion with a T. Admittedly this was easier since his Administration started with a bang: the Bush Stimulus to cope with the Bush Financial Crisis.
So what did Trump and the Republiopaths do? They ordered a $1.1 Trillion deficit for this fiscal year — absolutely unprecedented in a time of prosperity. Republiopathic policies will increase the debt by at least Eight Trillion dollars over the next decade. Yes, that’s Eight Trillion with 8 T’s.
But Republiopaths are finally acting to reduce the deficit. Are congratulations in order?
After giving away trillions to the kleptocrats, Trump will save 2 billion or so by denying automatic pay raises to federal workers. These aren’t some boondoggle bonuses he’s vetoing but routine pay hikes that don’t even keep up with the Cost of Living increase.
Obviously someone explained to our Simpleton-in-Chief that federal workers tend to vote for the Rational, and not for Stupidity.
