Meet SC state legislator Kris Crawford, the only elected official brave (or stupid) enough to say out loud what most Republicans just think;
[QUOTE=Kris Crawford]
It is good politics to oppose the black guy in the White House right now, especially for the Republican Party.

The GOP — putting the country first since… um, any day now.
CPAC is making a list of topics Not To Be Raised. If any guest is so rude as to (for example) mention the whole GOProud business in front of American Conservative Union chairman Al Cardenas, or else…
Apparently, there are “about 20” items on the verboten list. A few of them are known (besides teh ghey thing, don’t mention SOPA in front of sponsor Bob Goodlatte), but most remain shrouded in secrecy – presumably The Fight Club Rule is at the top of the list.
The one surprising thing I found reading the link is that the GOP is willing to have their convention run by someone named Ali Akbar. Has Michelle Bachmann been informed? The Muslim Brotherhood infiltration has extended further than we thought.
ETA: I actually tried to look up Ail Akbar and found the[URL=“http://spectator.org/blog/2011/09/28/tea-party-message-to-morgan-fr ”] following article](http://americablog.com/2013/03/cpac-bans-mention-of-the-gay-to-conferences-chairman.html ). Which of course reminded me of why Colbert is a genius
“Who was that mosqued man? I wanted to thank him!”

Minority outreach, CPAC style;
When asked by ThinkProgress if he’d accept a society where African-Americans were permanently subservient to whites, he said “I’d be fine with that.” He also claimed that African-Americans “should be allowed to vote in Africa,” and that “all the Tea Parties” were concerned with the same racial problems that he was.
At one point, a woman challenged him on the Republican Party’s roots, to which Terry responded, “I didn’t know the legacy of the Republican Party included women correcting men in public.”
Stay classy, conservatives.
Pretty fucking amazing. CPAC should consider itself lucky that he was in the audience and not on one of its panels.
To be slightly fair, that guy was an audience member, not on the panel, but several in the audience applauded what he said. Still pretty appalling. Such racism and sexism definitely exists among the conservative and tea party groups.

No not approach the Happy Fun Racist. Do not anger the Happy Fun Racist. …

Really amazing start to that article.
Why does he feel compelled? Probably to preempt some offensive response by one of his friends, a way of saying “he’s a legitimate Christian American.”
Oh Yeah? Let’s see his birth certificate. Long form.
Oh goody. He’s from North Carolina.

And to be slightly fairer, there was at least one person in the audience fighting back against his idiocy.
I wonder how those folks who think slavery was such a wonderful thing for blacks would feel if someone offered to enslave them, their spouses and their children. Free room and board - what’s not to like about that?
Sorry, that was Kim Brown, a liberal black activist who somehow slipped past the poll watchers to get in.

ALBANY — Assemblyman Steve Katz has railed against illegal drugs and voted against the legalization of medical marijuana last year.
In a mailing to constituents, the Yorktown Republican, who serves on the Assembly Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Committee, warned: “Our community has been stricken with an increase in drug use and drunk driving by our youngest citizens.”
As one piece said, maybe this will be his Portman moment.
Wait, he’s going to gay marry Portman? Groovy!
I’ll straight marry Portman, as long as it’s Natalie.
Jesus, he’s just 59? I’m glad I’m not going to look that old when I’m 59 in three months.
