Stupid Republican idea of the day

Fucking socialists, and their commie ski vacations.

I think it happens at least once a year.

I’m still trying to figure out how taking a separate flight = Arrogant.

Unless arrogant is being used as a substitute for uppity.

Someday we need to put the brakes on this thread so we can go back and count up all the stupid ideas and divide by the number of days it ran. I suspect that there really was a new stupid Republican idea about once a day.

It’s only the President and First Lady. What, are they too good to take the bus everywhere?

Hey, skiing originates from the socialist Nordic countries. Skiing and saunas – what more could anyone want?

What, they can’t walk uphill both ways the way our presidents had to?

I don’t think the Founders had cross-country vacation flights in mind when they drafted the Constitution. Michelle Obama should have to take the kids to Aspen in a Conestoga wagon.

According to the Founders, Michelle and the kids would be staying on the plantation picking cotton and servicing the over-seers.

This may be the most impressive derailment since the two-page-long argument last year about what constitutes a “true Christian”.

If I may be so bold as to steer the thread back toward its intended topic, House Republicans are trying to add an amendment to this year’s NDAA making it legal for servicemembers to harass their gay co-workers.

To be fair, some Republicans are inflating the numbers by doing the stupid on an almost daily basis.

“Hopelessly hijacked”? Pfffft. Starving Artist tried to hijack this thread into a defense of Stupid Republican Ideas back on page 2, and galveston attempted it starting on page 64, and I’m sure there have been other such efforts after that.

The mighty current of quotidian Republican stupidity just kept on rolling along and swept away their feeble attempts to deny it. I’m sure the same thing will happen to this hijack as well.

Speaking of quotidian Republican stupidity, it was recently reported that the Republican nominee for Lt. Governor of Virginia argues that the fact that chimps can’t talk like humans is evidence that evolution is false:

E.W. Jackson is going to require his own thread, he’s so full of GOP knowledge.

It’s amusing on a superficial level but deep down I’m mostly sad and disappointed that an adult american thinks that statement is in any way acceptable or correct.

Shouldn’t both the Obama kids have been working for a living since their father started living on government financial assistance at the White House?

SNAP QUIZ

Pro black child labor:
A. Republican
B. Democrat

A. Republican – Newt

Hell, I had a Navy chaplain use it to me, when he was telling me about the house he was trying to buy.

But where are they gonna **sit **on that bus, huh? Now we’ll see who’s uppity!

I’ve never really understood why there had to be classes on how to use those things. You just charge it up, put it down on the floor and let it do its thing, right?

Lawksie, yes. Daily Kos has an enjoyable piece about the nose-holding antics of the National Review article that tried to speak admiringly of Bishop Jackson, but go directly to the article itself for the real fun:

A black preacher criticizing American culture? As the Daily Kos piece points out, apparently IOKIARDI.

Dude. Are you really going to try rebutting this thread ALL THE WAY THROUGH, STARTING FROM POST #1? 'Cos if you are, I have to say that’s pretty impressive.

You realize this thread is more than four years old, and has close to 10K posts in it, right?

You might want to settle in for a long session, maybe catheterize yourself.

Socialism!
