Stupid Republican idea of the day

Nitpick: West was not convicted of war crimes. He was administratively disciplined under Art. 15 of the UCMJ.

Congressman and Terrorist Advocate Peter King calls for prosecution of journalists who expose the government’s dirty laundry.

A fellow GOPer calls this guy a moron, for this comment.

Somebody knows which state they’re running for Senator of. No Republican who embraces that kind of GOP idiocy is ever getting elected statewide in Massachusetts. Even Scott Brown had to pretend to be a moderate to win his Senate election.

There are two hours left to post a SRIotD before it’s been a full 24 hours. Common Republicans, you can do it!

Well, it was yesterday, but I don’t think we captured Maine House Republican Leader Ken Fredette citing Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus and saying that he opposes Medicaid expansion because of his “man brain

Democratic Maine Representative Diane Russell responded, “That was the most offensive, sexist and awkwardly painful speech I’ve seen on the floor of the House. I thought it was 2013, not 1813. Apparently, I was wrong.”

Of course she was wrong with her female brain. I hope Ken told her not worry her pretty little head over it, that’s mans work. Just like sucking cock is IMHO a mans job, what do women know about dicks?

Also from the recent past. Darrell Issa Refuses To Release ‘Evidence’ That Obama Conspired With IRS To Target Tea Party.

http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2013/06/11/2141071/darrell-issa-refuses-to-release-documents-that-prove-obama-conspired-to-target-tea-party/

He’s acting like a kid with a stolen half eaten candy bar hidden behind his back who won’t let mom see his hand. - Darrell - that’s a dead giveaway.

Elijah Cummings (D-MD) has promised to release “redacted” (for names??), but complete, transcripts on June 14 if Issa doesn’t release them by then.

One would think that Issa could save at least some face by releasing them first, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.

The Morning Plum: House GOP stomps all over Republican rebranding

GOPers ignore their post 2012 election autopsy results and continue their wars against women, gays and young immigrants.

“It is time to put our differences aside and figure out ways that we can move Wisconsin forward.”

  • Said Scott Walker on the night of his recall victory.

Today he rescinded the appointment of a 20 year old UW-Platteville student to the UW Board of Regents. Apparently because he signed the recall.

Inglett is handling this with a pretty high degree of class. Walker was Nixonian.

Which, to be honest, isn’t that hard. You have to actually WORK to display less class than Scotty.

From your link:

Is his assertion (bolded) true?

Yes, I ought to start a new forum. Governor Ricky & Crazy Ted Cruz would fill it up quickly. From Burnt Orange Report:

The article goes on to explain how he’s wrong about New York. And that many of those Texas jobs are low-paying (or available in our Democratic-voting cities). And mentions that the Texas tax dollars underwriting his campaign could have been better spent here–to help our struggling public education (starved by funding) & our crappy health care (actually, we have excellent, world-renowned health care–for those who can afford it).

Stay tuned, folks! Governor Good Hair & Crazy Ted are both teasing us with their possible Presidential dreams.

If Gov. Walker said it, then no.

It’s true in a “We’ve got both kinds of music here - country AND western” kind of way.

Well then I would think that something like this would make easy fodder for a decent journalist.

If he’s lying, it should be easy to find out by reviewing his past appointments.

and even if he isn’t lying, it’s so close to admitting that he checks “political and ideological persuasions” and makes sure to keep a quota going so he appears, ahem, “fair and balanced” that they could make political hay with that notion.

So what enterprising reporter in Wisconsin is taking up this mantle?

At a meeting of evangelicals Ron Johnson states explicitly that a well run government is contrary to Republican goals.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/06/13/ron-johnson-restoring-faith-in-government-is-the-wrong-solution/

This apparently got the biggest cheers of any of the speakers at the meeting.

Republicans have a pretty sweet gig, wherein doing their job poorly is doing it well.

I remember when conservatives used to call that “The soft bigotry of low expectations.”

Department of Workforce Development Secretary is Reggie Newson who is considered a Democrat. So there is at least one exception.

http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/dwd/bio_reggie_newson.htm

His position is non-partisan and Newson, as far as I could see in a five minute search, was not active in Democratic party politics.
