Stupid Republican idea of the day

The story is a bit misleading. It was “GOP-led” in the sense that the heads of the Florida DOS and DOJ are Republican appointees, but these were wholly separate investigations initiated because of actual bogus registrations. The investigation into the Democratic-leaning organization was closed because they couldn’t find the primary witness. It appears the fake registrations were pranks by registrants rather than the registering agency, though. You can read about the investigation of the Republican organization here). They were actual law enforcement investigations, not a general policy-driven attempt to find fraud.

Bill Kristol is urging Congress to vote yes on the authorization to use military force against Syria. He says the vote is easy and close to risk-free, and he also thinks Congress should move soon after to authorize the use of force against Iran’s nuclear weapons program. (I know we all think that’s what Iran is working on, but has anyone actually come up with solid evidence for it?)

I like that he specifies the vote is almost risk-free. We know any action wouldn’t be.

That would be the neocon, Bill “Always Wrong About Everything” Kristol?

Dropping bombs on another country? What could possibly go wrong?

If anyone was curious, this is what a Muslim foot bath actually looks like, on the left obviously. TBH it looks like they could just install pre-existing mop sink designs, except not use them for mops, since that’s probably unsanitary to some extent.

I just Googled it and went with what looked accurate. The results are slammed with either people poking fun at the Tennessee legislature or people raising the alarm about creeping Sharia. If anyone reading the thread has significant experience with foot baths that look or function differently feel free to correct me.

The more telling thing about the Tennessee tempest is that most of the righteously furious had probably never seen a mop sink before.

Most likely because you can’t mop a dirt floor.

Jeff Sessions has to be one of the biggest shit-tards in the Republican party.

Oh nooooo, he doesn’t want to be partisan about it at all. Nope, not him.

And P.S. Bush had a bigger dick, and when he waved it, you’d better watch out, even all the way over there in them thar Ayrab states. Cuz you know, it could reach.

Asshole.

But isn’t Obama black? I thought that was something people had a problem with.

And then Bush would have bombed him, anyway.

It would indeed be risk-free…to Bill Kristol.

No - then Bush would have bombed Uganda.

This made me laugh so hard the cat jumped.

Only the top half.

What Uganda do about it?

Since marshmallow had to go and use up the other joke everybody was thinking…

I can state with firm authority that neither occurred to me, and if they had I would never admit it.

Bachmann: Republicans can beat Hillary Clinton ‘if we cry out to God’

Sometimes the answer is “no”, or so I have been told…

At least she understand the GOP needs to repent; but she is probably thinking of the wrong sins.

I really can’t think of anything snarky to say aboutthis…

But could you imagine for a moment the hell that would be unleashed if Democratic lawmakers did this during a Republican administration?

Only because I expect this thread to house everything that’s stupid and Republican, for one-stop shopping:

Dana Perino says if you don’t like “under God” in the Pledge, GTFO (of the country).

I guess she’s never gotten to the part just after “under God” where it talks about liberty and justice for all.

For all who follow her God.
