Cruz is not American. I want his birth certificate so I can say it is faked, and I bet he is a stinking mooslum and socialist who hates our freedoms too.
I’m starting to wonder if there’s any blatant mistruth this guy will not confidently state. I kinda want some journalist to assert the sky is blue in his presence, as an empirical test.
Why, gosh, the compromise bill strengthens verification requirements for people signing up under the ACA! Why, that alone makes the whole fiasco entirely justified! It might actually prevent ten whole people from fraudulently applying! This counts as a huge victory!
The first step to deporting Cruz to Canada (or at least outside of Texas) took place a couple of days ago. The Houston Chronicle un-endorsed Cruz:
Just for shits and giggles, and to keep up the birther conspiracy tradition, all y’all should ask why Cruz has failed to produce proof of American citizenship (he has produced his Canadian birth certificate), ask why he has failed to renounce his Canadian citizenship despite he promise to do so about a year ago, and demand that he produce his mother’s birth certificate as well as proof that she was physically present in the USA for ten years prior to his birth, including five of those years following her turning fourteen (the requirements for him to be a US citizen born abroad by a married couple of which only one was a US citizen – note that since his birth, or hatching, or whatever, the rules have changed for this category).
Right, so they endorsed Cruz in the hope he wouldn’t act like Cruz despite the fact that he turned out to be exactly the guy who ran for the job. And when he acted exactly like he was going to all along, they stand by that endorsement - they just don’t want him to be the way he has always been.
It’s like they put a cat inside the birdcage, saying “it’s okay if he doesn’t act like a cat.” And then, with the birds limited to a pile of feathers, they say “I still think it’s a good idea that we put it in there. It just needs to stop eating the birds.”
In Texas, the Lite Gov is more powerful than the Governor. (Ricky Perry has expanded his power by intense appointment of cronies/donors to state positions over the years.) The Republican hopefuls are trying to out-teabag each other, in a truly obscene spectacle…
A New Jersey state Senate candidate suggested to a gun rights group, that if his Democratic rival shows up on their doorstep, constituents should get their guns:
[QUOTE=New York Times]
WASHINGTON — Coming out of a closed-door meeting Wednesday afternoon, in which Speaker John A. Boehner explained to his conference that he would be taking up the Senate deal and likely passing it with the help of Democratic votes, Republican lawmakers were already regrouping for the next fight.
“I’ll vote against it,” Representative John Fleming of Louisiana said. “But that will get us into Round 2. See, we’re going to start this all over again.”
