Stupid Republican idea of the day

Yeah, I know the reference. You can call me whatever you want.

Made even more stupid when one realizes what Newt said before on 2007, and to Kerry no less.

It is like throwing himself under the bus.

I disagree with the point you were making, but I strongly sympathise with your reaction. I frequently express my own non-mainstream opinions precisely because they oppose conventional “wisdom” and get the non-sequitur reaction, “Hey dude, that’d not what the in-crowd is crowd-thinking!”

… But I didn’t get the reference to calling you Francis. :frowning:

Here ya go.

You have to preface it with “Holy Father.”

I’d say it’s more an evil idea than a stupid one. Mostly evil with just a tinge of stupidity to it, I’d say. If the people in Arkansas are so stupid that they don’t know they can apply for ACA, well … it’s not really a stupid idea, is it.

BTW, I’m from Georgia where the Governor and the republican majority legislature are fighting ACA tooth and nail. I applied (the website really WAS a mess!) and am now getting health care at GREATLY reduced costs. Suck my dick, Nathan Deal and Georgia Republicans! I am getting affordable health care! Nanner-nanner doo-doo!

Hmmm.

Okay.

Lighten up, Francis.

Well, I’m damned if I’m gonna pass up the chance to make that joke, even if you DID already crap all over it with your telegraphing.

Republican candidate is against banning harassment in the workplace because it creates “segregation”.

Yep, that’s right, being AGAINST harassment creates segregation.

Apparently republicans are such vile people that asking them to follow laws and be decent human beings prevents them from interacting with others, or something?

Satan, Pepsi, what’s the difference?.

Duh :smack: One is bubbly, the other isn’t

Satan won’t rot your teeth. (OTOH, he will keep you up all night.)

GOP Lawmaker Claims We ‘Could Use’ Twice As Much Carbon Dioxide In The Atmosphere

It was also adapted to that atmospheric composition.

So he’s willing to believe scientists when they say something that he thinks helps his case, but not when they say something that hurts it.

Has he considered the backlash he’ll get for implying dinosaurs and humans never coexisted?

Sure as hell did! Never saw that documentary called the Flintstones, did you?

First they said it didn’t exist, then they said humans aren’t causing it, now its on to it won’t hurt us anyway.

Those stages are very similar to the five stages of grief: (1) Denial, (2) Anger, (3) Bargaining. The final two stages will come in the future:

(4) Depression - “We were OK when Sodom City, New York and Gomorrah-by-the-Bay experienced flooding, but why the drought in God’s great Texas?”

(5) Acceptance - “We’ve helped work God’s will. The Final Days are here and twelve times twelve thousand righteous gun-toting patriots will be raptured.”

Universe, I know I haven’t been the best pantheist ever, but…

That’s only 144,000. There’s more than that just in Dallas.
