Stupid Republican idea of the day

Does Orly Taitz announcing that she’s running as California state Attorney General count as a stupid idea? Considering she was trounced when she ran for state Secretary of State …

I like it! I’ll remember that.

OK, I’m having trouble even believing this quote is real.

Oh, the horror of having the internet behave exactly the same way it’s behaved ever since it was invented. Oh, the horror of not having Marsh Blackburn’s corporate masters not being able to wring yet more money out of consumers for a product that’s embarassingly behind 1st world standards.

Marsha Blackburn should be condemned to watching Netflix over a 300 baud modem for the rest of her wretched existence.

As though she could operate a dial-up modem.

The anti-intellectualism is strong with that one. She is the same congress critter that “debated” Bill Nye on climate change. You can guess what side she is fighting for.

Now, to the vote against the Republicans that includes the minorities and republicans and independents that do follow science, we have to add now the nerd vote, and I would had thought the republicans had learned the lesson from the election of 2012 and the SOPA riot.

Considering the behaviour we’ve witnessed over the last few years, I think it’s safe to say that they haven’t learned much of anything. They not only do the same things over and over again, they do it harder and more intensely, because obviously they didn’t put enough effort into it before or they’d have succeeded.

And frankly, I hope they continue to fail. I’ve no argument with the idea that there’s a lot of waste in government that needs to be addressed, but I think the focus has been in the wrong places completely. And their social agenda gives me the willies.

GOP congressional candidate Cresent Hardy says the Employee Non-Discrimination Act is like “segregation laws”.

The TP/GOP approach to “caring about poverty.”

Not so much a war on poverty as a war on poor people. After all, if you eliminate those, there’s no poverty, right?

I would attack the unemployed, first by shelling their homes, and then, when they run panicked out into the street, mowing them down with machine-gun fire. And then, releasing the vultures.

I realize these views are unpopular, but I have never courted popularity.

Missouri bill would require school districts to inform parents when evolution is being taught so parents could opt their children out of those lessons.

I’m sure those views would be popular with a certain segment of the population.

Rocker Ted Nugent called Obama a “subhuman mongrel” but Greg Abbot, the guy he’s campaigning for, doesn’t rebuke him and dodges the question (video). And Senator Ted Cruz disagrees with him but won’t rule out campaigning with him in the future. I mean come on.

The thread title should probably have “(and evil comments)” added to it. There’s so much of that going around.

SC Republican legislator wants to cut two colleges’ budgets because they assigned two gay-themed books in a required course.

“Fight hunger and unemployment, eat an unemployed person!”

“Vote Lecter in '14!”

“A liver in every pot and a bottle of Chianti on every table.”

And if you donate money, he’ll owe you a fava.

Well, that escalated Swiftly.

Nice one.

…“Off his”.
