Stupid Republican idea of the day

Is that what the kids are calling it now?

FTFY:

Is that what [del]the kids[/del] Republicans are calling it now?

At least one of them…

Mark Sanford

A case of Over-thinking: I actually had ‘politicians’, ‘South Carolinians’ and a few others in there at first.

BTW, that was the one where IRS official Lois Lerner took the Fifth rather than testify. Apparently, before Lerner last appeared before the committee, she received at least six death threats.

As threats go, that one is remarkably ecumenical - we’ve got God, witches and karma all referenced in one vile incoherent spew.

I prefer karma to the other ideas, I just go around being a dick to everyone and assume they deserve it.

Can’t congress just roll its eyes and roll out immunity in order to compel her to testify? It’s a dog and pony show to try and embarrass Obama, not outrage over what she herself may have done (i.e. they want her to say that he personally called her and said ‘fuck over those conservative yahoos, and pass the dead foetus; I need it to sign a contract with the Devil to convert the country into a socialist-fascism-communistic tyranny that I rule from Kenya’.)

Oh, wait. Dog and pony show. Of course they don’t actually want her to testify; that would end the show.

18 U.S.C. Sec. 6005 requires a two-thirds vote of the committee or a majority vote of the house, 20 days’ notice to the attorney general, and a request to a U.S. district court to issue an order compelling testimony.

Fine. Ruin all our God/witches/karma fun with your pesky legalese.

You can just feel all Christian love and principles, can’t you!

Speak for yourself.

It’s like my daddy said, “Son, you never wanna have group sex where you’re the best looking person.”

Ohhh, they know. Don’t fool yourself, they know.

Who knew there were young people at CPAC?
