You seem to be under the illusion that sociopaths give a shit about even their own. They don’t.
I see several possibilities:
- As other have mentioned, they are psychos, or just evil enough to value profits over their own descendants.
or - They really believe their bullshit about global warming not existing or not being caused by humans. People believe what they want to believe, especially if their wealth depends on it
or - They figure that even if the world goes to shit, there will still be decently livable parts of it, and being wealthy via inheritance their descendants will be able to afford to live there.

Some people focus on the part where she seems to call him to task for past fuck-ups. But if you watch the whole thing, the Cheneys chew up 4/5ths of the time just barfing their usual glurge all over the screen. If I heard correctly, at one point, she even refers to him as “Mr. President”.
What is disturbing about this is that those people seem to have figured out some strategery, instead of just howling out their stupidity in the stupidest way they can. It is handy to have Reoublicans talking like idiots in an obvious way, but when they can make their bile seem palatable to ordinary folk, we ought to be concerned.

Tuesday’s Republican primary in Oklahoma has a rather unusual candidate: a hard right, half-black, half-Native American running as a Tea Party conservative named TW Shannon. However, in criticism directed towards Shannon, an Oklahoma Tea Party group rejects him because he gas “too many masters to serve”.
I’m sure they misspoke though, they only want him to have one master because its hard to split whippings between two plantations owners
It’s a Biblical reference. Matthew 6:24. The author probably expects his Tea Party audience to recognize that.

I saw this as well, and I’m a bit miffed. Seems to me, the *interviewer *was the one who introduced the word “treason” into the conversation, yet the “headline quote” makes it appear that it was Cheney’s. No fair.
And wholly unnecessary, the facts about “Big Dick” Cheney are bad enough, they need not be embellished, that’s guilting the lily.
