Stupid Republican idea of the day

Gives Askance a sideways look

Good, then you won’t be spreading any malicious scandals about the shepherds and their alleged taste for mutton. Do we understand each other, Lambchops?

Didn’t Paul write an epistil about that?

Fail to petal that attarocious nonsense around here.

George Will is still talking about rape.

“You said ‘rape’ twice.”

“I like rape.”

Oh, Paul the Apostle
Possessed an Epistle
So truly colossal
It made the girls whistle!

It wasn’t just Paul though, it was Poll’en God who wrote them.

It’s Monday so all of the crazy has been piling up over the weekend:

Ben Carson: “Let’s compromise on gay marriage. Gay people can’t get married and can’t call opponents bigots.”

GOP House candidate: “Islam is not a religion, therefore it isn’t protected under the First Amendment.”

Senator Ron Johnson: “It costs too much to fund the VA.”

I like the variety of stupidity that demonstrates, from hateful stupidity, to ignorant stupidity, ending at reckless stupidity. And people say the GOP isn’t a big tent, pshh

Maybe there’s a way around this “gay marriage” issue:

Invalidate heterosexual marriage.

This one keeps making me giggle.

It’s Hostile Takeover Time - by Bobby (I thought you were discarded) Jindal.

http://www.news.com.au/world/louisiana-governor-bobby-jindal-says-he-is-ready-for-a-hostile-takeover-of-us-government-to-restore-american-dream-and-defend-religious-liberty/story-fndir2ev-1226963717230

Let’s not forget [please forget] Bobby Jindal speaking to the Faith and Freedom Coalition over the weekend - Ralph Reed as Christian Leader.

Low points - talks about Democratic (Obama) wars against religions and educations. See any of the above 15,000 posts about Republican/Teaparty assaults on education (BIBLE ONLY!!! etc…); or attacks against Islam, Satanists, and others.

Attempts to call Obama “…most radically, extremely liberal, ideological president of our entire lifetime …”. I’m actually thinking Ron Reagan and far more liberal. or “…the most incompetent president of the United States of America in the history of our lifetimes”. Doesn’t he remember Bush II?

The guy’s no dummy, Rhodes Scholar, but his words and past actions - screw it - just another politician.

From that article:

He’s a Baptist. He probably believes the same about Catholics.

Y’know, some might consider the GOP is also " a geo-political system that has governmental, financial, military, legal and religious components".

I’m just sayin’.

nvm

Katie McDonough agrees.

Pennsylvania (Gov. Tom Corbett – R) health officials ordered to ignore fracking-related health complaints.

Arizona state Schools Superintendent: “We all need to stomp out balkanization. No spanish radio stations, no spanish billboards, no spanish tv stations, no spanish newspapers," he wrote roughly a month after he was elected. "This is America, speak English.”

He posts these comments from his state owned computer inside his state office.

I love, on top of the brownophobia, how all of his examples are private enterprises, so he’s essentially demanding more government interference in citizens’ lives.
