Stupid Republican idea of the day

Ever since I first saw the name Clothahump I have always pictured a… shall we say socially unsuccessful guy humping a pile of clothes, desperately pining for a woman, any woman, when absolutely no fucking rational woman would have anything to do with him. As I’ve come to know Humpy in the years since, I can only assume his name was a Freudian slip, the image it draws up in my mind only cemented by his utter boorishness.

I think the other one makes more sense.

Not really stupid, nor an idea, but funny non-the-less. Bored Republican Florida State Senator caught looking at internet porn during (yet another) abortion debate.

I’m as much a fan of rampant Republican hypocrisy as the next guy, but not only was this not really stupid (well, it is kinda), nor an idea, it’s not even porn. The image was of women in bikinis. But yeah, it’s still somewhat boneheaded to view titillating material, on a company computer no less, when one should be working.

Some of those women were probably topless. It’s hard to tell because of the black bar someone superimposed over the pic, but if they weren’t I doubt the bar would have been added.

Technically, we don’t know if he’s a republican. But the odds are pretty good. (and the goods? pretty odd.)

Not specifically Republican, but from the Obama-deranged crowd:

Muslim Obama wants to bring down America!

Best. Comments. Evar!

Come on now the pit is a pretty big place. This thread is for Stupid Republican ideas. If the idea is not clearly a republican idea, there are other threads. You could even start one if their isn’t

As the original OPer, I hereby extend this thread to include Stupid Teabagger Ideas/Delusions/Whatevers Of The Day.

Well, that part was true. My blood and hair curdled just at the thought that such Stupid is out there, walking around among us.

And yeah, that is a picture from before he took office. It took them 1 1/2-2 years to notice this picture of him reading this book?

Naw, they noticed it, it’s just the Green branch of the movement; they recycle.

In their defense, they’re not that familiar with books and reading. At least it’s not a Koran Bible.

Maybe it’s taken them this long to look up “post” in the dictionary?

No, it probably took them this long to look up “book” in the dictionary. It’s one of those big words you have to know how to spell before you can look up to see how it’s spelled and what it means.

May Michelle and my husband forgive me, but this one almost had me on the floor:

I swear I didn’t notice the, ahem, bulge, until I read this comment, but I have to admit I did scroll back up and look after.

Holy crap! That’s gotta be a well placed wrinkle.

Oh thanks so much.
… can’t look at that picture now without being mesmerized.

ETA: and yes, of course I scrolled back up to look.

I didn’t notice either (and went back and looked); I was just about to re-PM you about that comment. A few of my favorites:

“The email forwarding logic of 20 friends for 3 days reaching every American needs to be explained in a simplier way. Would there ever be a case where the same 20 people just keep sending it to each other, ad infinitum”

“Next they’ll see Obama reading “Who Moved My Cheese?” and assume he’s letting the furries take over.”

"The author of the email may be more clever than we think. For example: “The name of the book Obama is reading is called: “The Post-American World…’ On one level it looks like he is just a clumsy writer, and that he meant: “The name of the book Obama is reading is: The Post-American World”, but really he is engaging in ingenious wordplay on the duality of what something is named and what it is called, with a subliminal message that Obama calls things what they are not named.”

“Fareed Zakaria yadayadayada CNN[!] yadayada naturalized[!]… New York[!] … wine[!] … writes[!] … think[!] … New Yorker[!] … international[!] … OMG why isn’t he in Gitmo/Arizona already???”
