Short answer–he doubles down on his comments and blames the media for taking him out of context. I feel dirty for defending him at this point.

Speaking of mansplaining, someone should really tell these guys that while “I was quoted out of context” is a handy way to walk back from a really stupid statement (or would be if we didn’t have the video, you ass. And it’s 2014 you decrepit bastard, there’s always a fucking video); it really does not work when you proceed to then restate the exact same shit.

God damn, but that’s not even PR or rhetoric, it’s “making coherent noise come out of your mouth” level !
