Stupid Republican idea of the day

I can’t believe this one’s not already here.

John Boehner says W wouldn’t have let Putin invade Crimea! He would’ve punched Putin in the nose!

I mean, invading Georgia’s one thing, but Crimea? No way! You may not have liked Bush, but you gotta admit the man had excellent foreign policy.

Any info on what has transpired in the 30+ months since this was blogged?

It passed and got signed into law. <disgusted>

Not sure why the story is popping all over the place now, though.

I guess there is an election thingy imminent, perhaps there is a big thrust to highlight the dbaggery of the AZ-Rs in hopes that reasonable people will bump them out.

It does seem kind of backwards to me, though. I want the women who work for me to work for me, not be taking months off to nurse a newfoundling. It is an expensive and risky proposition to replace these people in whom so much training has been invested.

Mature contribution to the public debate:

Of course, they’re sorry that they got caught… er, “sorry if anyone was offended”:

Blame the Facebook site I cribbed that from.

Laura Ingraham: Democrats won’t allow “the black population” off “the plantation”.

Col. Alan West and Uncle Clarence Thomas “left the liberal fold” ? You learn something new every day.

That’s not really a new one for them. It’s actually an old favorite. They’ve been strumming the Dems-are-the-real-racists banjo-strings since at least 1990.

The soft bigamy of lowered expectorations, remember it well…

In the Georgia Senate race, David Perdue attacks Michelle Nun for her father’s vote on the Panama Canal Treaty. Not only that, he says, “I want the Panama Canal back, y’all.” Thought they gave up on that one years ago.

At least not without basically saying racism is okay as long as it’s directed at conservatives.

Republican candidate for Congress attacking Democratic incumbent because Democrat’s daughter was born in Washington, DC (where he works) and because the house he owns in Washington is worth more than the house he owns in his district (despite the differences in costs of living).

And among them, Mitch McConnell, swallowing hook line and sinker the old lie about most scientists predicting an ice age in the 70’s from George Will.

So, we have the blind that swallows what the blind reports leading the blind.

Laura Ingram brought it up. Take it up with her.

You mean aside from invading Iraq on false pretenses?

Sarah Palin: Climate change is this century’s eugenics.

That’s quite a fatuous non sequitur even for you.

Are you just typing random phrases off of conservative flash cards?

Does it really make any significant difference?
