Sunrise or sunset in the MMP?

I freely admit to wearing pajamas most of the time, if that’s an option.

nope - can’t stand the stuff. Tho I do like Kahlua - go figure…

Just took the Tobester to his mom, and peace reigns at home. Now we’re trying to figure out this idiotic change on FCD’s phone service. Verizon says he no longer has an account, but it’s still working. I was able to connect with a Verizon rep on FB - now I’m waiting for a callback from Consumer Cellular. Eeeeesh…

Why do we have Kahlua? I don’t remember. SWMBO asked me to pick up a small bottle a couple of weeks ago. I don’t remember what she wanted it for. I got a regular-sized bottle and had a Black Russian that night. Or was it two? Anyway, we have Kahlua.

Howdy Y’all! Laundry got laundered. Sloth and nappage achieved. Sup got cooked and et. The kitchen got cleanded up. Folks are still goin’ N.O.N. about the dawgs. I’ve gotten a bunch of texts about it today. Such it is in swampland.

{{{VanGo}}} skritches and hugs for Cinnamon.

Nuts hope you get to feelin’ better soonest.

Sunny prednisone makes me stabby.

Kahlua is especially nummy on ice cream!

Yes! Stabby, and I don’t sleep, and I gain 20 pounds without eating.

{{{VanGo and Cinnamon}}} May you treasure the time you have left together.

taters, codeine (and demerol) also have that effect on me. Prednisone (and other steroids) generally are drugs of last resort, as they not only do me like they do sunny and swampy, but they send my BG sky high.

I, being a natural night owl (the shift that I currently work sucks in that respect), sunsets are my thing.

I spent a couple of hours at the dealership this evening (and Nelson got absolutely fawned over). They diagnosed and fixed a coil that was loose. The service advisor told me to let him know immediately if that didn’t do the trick and they would change the plug too. They topped it off with adding fuel additive to the tank, just to cover bases. No charge for anything but that. I feel much more comfortable driving it now.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

I have now lost my voice. Booooooooo (not our Boo)

Evening all. Managed not to accomplish anything worth noting for another day…may have to break that streak tomorrow as I am low on reading material. Right at 32F now, but promises to get to 55F tomorrow.

red, sounds like a reputable place for your car…and Nelson.

{{VanGo and Cinnamon}} Cherish your time together, however long it is.

OK, need to watch some TV and then think about bedtime. All y’all take care.

Our friend has not only come to realize that he can’t live alone anymore, tomorrow hubs is taking him to visit an independent care home. He can shower and dress himself, he can even do laundry if he doesn’t have to carry his basket far.

The big issue is his 6 cats. While the place he’s looking at allows a pet or two, they won’t allow 6 cats in a 200 sf studio. He has sweet cats or he did last time I saw them, but they are old and set in their ways. I’m working on finding homes for the youngest ones but think he’s going to have to surrender them to the local humane society. They do a wonderful job with senior cats and I’m sure they have a much larger audience than I do. Our friend doesn’t trust them because they were horrible 30 years ago.

Speaking of cats, at 9 months old Gormless George has found his food clock. The cats get fed at 6:30 am and 5:00 pm. I’m not up for the 6:30 feeding but I can hear it happening because poor GG is starving to death. Yesterday I was stitching at their dinner time and hubs was playing an online game and was in the middle of setting off his first nuke. Dinner time came and suddenly I could hear hubs “Not now, George! Get DOWN! NO, JUST A MINUTE!!!”

I distracted GG by throwing a toy by the kibble bowl so he was able to eat enough crunchies to survive a whole 5 minutes until the battle was over.

Today GG was dozing on a side table by the window (he loves to watch the bird feeder) and promptly at 5, he perked up his ears and started yammering at dad for dinner.

So, what do you read? I was at the library for a meeting today and picked up a couple of books but usually I listen to audio books while I’m stitching or driving. We have a jerkface kitten, he makes reading books difficult.

GG sounds like a very good match for Yoshi, my large and goofy, and (apparently) permanently puppy.

It’s cold, and it may snow this weekend. Is it Spring yet? Having a Manhattan to compensate.

Her cats would likely make better PMs. Or at least make Question Time more enterntaining.

It makes me nervous and anti-social. At least in doses above 10mg.

Mostly Science Fiction and History, have a 2000-book library that I add to now and then. Right now I’m having a “Ring of Fire” binge, it’s a series started by Eric Flint of a small town in W. Virginia circa 2000 going back in time to Germany in 1631 and the changes thereof…probably close to 35 novels and literally hundreds of short stories, so no lack of reading matter.

And hope your friend and his cats both end up in good places.

I am SO jealous! I only have 3 bookshelves and if I have to have a new book, I have to get rid of an old book and how can I do that, I love them all!!! My stitching patterns don’t count as books because those bins hide under the bed until hubs is gone. I might have a problem, but it’s MY problem, OK?

One of the books I got was the latest JD Robb. To make up for the junk for the mind, I also picked up a book about gardening (one can never look at too many plant pics) and one on bird watching. I can’t see well enough to pick details out but sometimes I can see enough to pretend I know what I’m doing.

Thanks for the good wishes for our friend. He deserves to die with some comfort and dignity intact and we are pretty sure he won’t make it to the end of this year unless something changes.

Thank you all for the love.

sunny Get better soonest.

Hey shoe just cuz I don’t think I’ve hey’d you in a while.

Trust me, doves are super-messy eaters too. I think the vacuum (or the cage floor) gets about as much of Misty’s food as she does, and Ava (RB) was the same.

This month seems to be rough on pets, based on what I’m seeing on the SDMB. Also, one of the cats from “Breaking Cat News” died very suddenly a few days ago (it was Lupin, the deaf white cat). The author assures us that the comic version will live on, but still…

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave.
27 degrees Amurikin out there.

Morning, mumpers! My laptop tells me it’s 1C/32F outside and I believe it. There’s frost on the car so I’m glad I don’t have to be anywhere early. We finally got our PCR results today and we’re both negative so that means I can go out with my friends tonight.

They have been looking after a couple of plants for me while we were away and as a thank you, I got them a sample box of beers from Little Critters Brewery. I don’t usually buy beer in cans, it’s usually bottles, but these looked interesting and they have a taster pack with IPA and stouts in which works well. Steve likes stouts, Liz likes IPA. Perfect!

shoe thanks for checking in! What did the inspector say about the ratties? I hope they appreciate you’re doing things right and keeping everything clean!

Sunny thanks for the sentiment, I don’t think I’d make a good PM on the grounds of an extremely low tolerance for idiots and bigots…which seems to comprise most of the House of Commons. The cats, however, would soon have everything in order, provided motions were carried on the basis of treats.

Nut hope you feel better soon, I was quite concerned with all my LFTs because I’ve been a veritable snot factory for about two weeks, and have a niggly cough as well. But so far, all my tests are good. Thanks for the explanation of how they work too, I’d never really thought about line strength, to me it was always just got it or not got it.

Right…time to do the irk stuff I allegedly get paid for…

{{{VanGo and Cinnamon}}} - there never are the right words in these situations. Durn critters, grabbing our hearts with their little paws…

I was beat yesterday and in bed before 9 (I think) and I mostly slept till 6. I heard FCD coming in or out a few times - he’s in such pain and he refuses to take his opioids for fear of running out because his doc said she wouldn’t give him any more. I’m not sure I understand his logic - I’ve given up trying. I just help where I can.

Today for sure I’ll make the WalMart run. Other than that, no plans in particular. I’ll probably push the vacuum around because that’s such fun…

I find it hard to believe, but I like Ebooks better than dead tree books. Our library has a decent variety, if not entire series, and I love being able to tap on a word and get a definition or Wiki link to explain it. I can read in bed without a light on, I can adjust the text size to suit me, and it’s easy to manage with a cat or a baby sleeping on me. I have 4 regular books on my bedside table that have been sitting there for months. I started one and just didn’t like the whole turn-the-page thing. :open_mouth: Yeah, weird, I know.

FCD just got up and made himself some toast. He’s having breakfast - I’ll see if he wants drugs after. That’s all I can do.

Happy Wednesday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 33 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 65 and mostly cloudy for the day. Today we lay in provisions which shall include (for me) a Sam’s run. I shall also go deal with some church janitor JW and other stuff over to the church house. I am a week and a half away from no more church janitor JW duties except for goin’ over the duties, details, and such with whoever has the honor of bein’ elected. YAY! Sup shall be hamburger steak 'n onion gravy, green beans, squishes, rice, and rolls. I lurve me some rice 'n gravy!

Nameless I cannot believe how horribly CRUEL y’all were to make GG wait A WHOLE FIVE MINUTES for his dindin!

red glad the car woes got worked out. Sounds like you and Nelson have found a new dealer.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and bother, I suppose I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public attire. Woe is me.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Morning all. Up at 4:30am because I was suddenly seized by a determination to report my missing (lost somewhere in all the movement the past couple of years) Passport and get a new one. Did so on-line, but then my e-mail stopped working for reasons unknown (I can log into my internet account just fine, but not the e-mail). Puzzled a guy at the help desk, who elevated it–hope to have a solution in 24 hours!!

Still predicted to get to 55F today, so there is that.

boofae, glad the tests were negative–hope you enjoyed the night out.

OK, need to get newspaper in and search for sustenance. All y’all take care.
