Superman and Lois Season 3

Not even Steel himself could survive the cuts. Sheesh. Is the whole family moving to the Fortess of Solitude?

Enter Lex Luthor. I didn’t think anyone could be more menacing than Bruno Mannheim, but I was pleased to be mistaken. It’s Lex Luthor – of course he’s more menacing.

Jordan is enjoying the Superboy accolades a little too much. I think the little punk needs to get his ass kicked. Maybe Lex Luthor can help out.

Is it just me or did they miss the obvious solution to the Junior-thinks-there’s-a-super-in-Smallville problem? Just have Jordan do a lot of heroing all over the world - sure the new guy showed up in Smallville but he’s showed up everywhere - and could be from any where

Based on Lois and Clark’s dialog at the end of the episode, I think that’s what the parents are thinking about – send Superboy away to some other place to do superheroing there. That’ll also get Jordan away from both Sarah (talk about a toxic relationship) and Jonathan (not so toxic but still problematic).

If I didn’t know next season will only have the Kent family as regular characters, I’d expect them to do what you’re suggesting. Then Jonathan and Sarah will get together, which they’re hinting at now.

(Hope above doesn’t count as a spoiler, but it’s been announced in a lot of places.)

Wow, I didn’t expect them to do Doomsday. Of course, I didn’t expect them to do Lex Luthor, either. I rather like these TV versions better than the movie versions.

What a cliffhanger! Can you imagine the outcry if the show had been cancelled?

Finally had the time to watch. Pretty good episode.

But you knew doom was coming as soon as they were the slightest bit happy, and had something to look forward to.

I wonder if they’re going to do the “Death of Superman” storyline. They’ve already got Steel and Superboy. Plus Tal-Rho was the Eradicator. All the remains is Cyborg Superman; maybe the DOD has a robot somewhere they could use.

If not, maybe Natalie could build one.

I’ll just keep expanding on this one, as I’m sure we won’t need a new thread.

Superman and Lois, Season 5, the final season premiered last night.

Damn. Just… damn!

Great story, great acting, great scenes, but really, really dark. LOVED this a lot!

  1. Jordan needs a slappin’. Just… dumbass. Believeable in-character and storywide, but damn, the self-awareness of a damp sponge.
  2. PEOPLE ARE NOTICING ABOUT CLARK AND SUPERMAN! I can’t believe they finally showed this happening. Its absolutely perfect.
  3. Jordan… just… jordan… ugh.
  4. Poor Johnathan. Just sitting around, being useless and human. That’s got to hurt.

Really, really enjoyed this.

Lex: I bet you feel really safe in this hick town

Lois (should have said): Guess you missed the news - three years ago this hick town was ground zero for the alien invasion

I was looking forward to seeing the beginning of the 4th season, and made sure that my DVR was set up to record both episodes.

When I went to watch them last night, instead of the shows I got a screen telling me that due to a production problem it was not available for viewing (or some such non-informative BS). It was not the sort of thing I had seen in the past when a channel was not available for viewing because of a contract dispute. I have been able to watch other shows on the CW recently, and when I tried to watch it live there was no problem.

I’ve tried searching online and can’t find anything about current contract issues between the CW and ATT Uverse. Anybody else have this problem, or know anything about it?

You can watch episodes on the CW web site.

I did, because I didn’t even know there was a fourth season! (I assumed there wasn’t, because I’d seen the “Lois” actor on another show).

But then I saw this thread… thanks, Dopers!

Not sure how I feel about Biker Dude Luthor, or Even More Whiny Jordan, but I’ll hang in there. Lois even addressed how she’d hoped powers would help with Jordan’s emotional problems, but they seem worse than ever.

I do keep waiting for Jonathan to have some powers manifest. It’s only fair…

But, man, Doomsday kills Superman, and then is still around?!?

  1. I’m wondering if Lex is going to get a “Tell-Tale Heart” thing with Superman’s.

  2. It won’t happen, but I wish Elizabeth somehow took out Lex, or at least helped one of the Kents do it.

I was able to open the CW app on my Smart TV and watched them yesterday. I’m interested in seeing where it goes from here.

I speculated at the end of last season that they’re going to do the “Death of Superman”. Indeed they are, but going somewhere quite different. Case in point: Doomsday is still alive, to be – what, Luthor’s lapdog?

I don’t think Luthor should be able to stomp on and destroy Superman’s heart quite so easily. I presume that he’s just playing Jordan.

  1. Finally someone told Jordan off. SO proud of Jonathan to do that. I just wish it had penetrated Jordan’s head. But i’m darn sure it didn’t.
  2. Jonathan getting powers - Happy about this. But I also would have been happy to see him not get powers, or a different power set. Can’t wait to see how this plays out.
  3. Sad about General Lane. But what a damn great way to go out.
  4. Poor Lois - Loses both husband and father in a week.
  5. The storytelling of showing historical Lois/Clark events, then switching to current, is very emotionally involving and great storytelling.

Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Meant to say last week that it’s interesting that this Lex killed Superman to destroy Lois. Usually, of course, Lois gets threatened in order to destroy Superman.

Everyone is rolling with Jordan’s belief that Clark’s heart could have saved Clark. His grandmother said that without his heart, he was doomed, while doesn’t quite mean that with his heart he could be saved.

Except, the show is called “Superman and Lois”, so they kind of have to save him at some point!

They found a way
