If Sam and Grandpa Skinner are back, can Ellen, Jo, and Bela come back too, please? I know they lack winkies, but it’s awful sexist and unfair for only the dudes to rise from the dead.
I’m not so sure about the cousins and Samuel being involved in things that much; well, maybe Samuel somewhat but so far the chick cousin is the only one who seems to have a personality other than “arrogant dick” and “scary quiet guy.”
As for who to bring back, I liked the Sarah Blake character from “Provenence” in the first season. Let’s have some more eye candy for the guys!!
Well, Sarah isn’t dead, as far as we know. We don’t need a supernatural explanation for bringing her back on the show. I liked her, though, I’d be happy to see her again.
Anyway, haven’t you figured out yet that this show is about eye candy for women? I have high hopes for more fanservice now that a woman is in charge, too.
That whole episode just didn’t ring true to me. If everything is as they have stated, then I guess their writers suck, because it was just off.
If that was real Sammy, then he has definitely changed. He knows how he felt when Dean died and he was left alone - he wouldn’t have done that to Dean. No way, no how.
Yeah, there’s something off. But then, there’s been a year of hunting that we don’t know about with Sam. Maybe he has changed. The last season it ended with Dean admitting that Sam was an overgrown man, so maybe Sam (with his new car) might take lead for a while. Might make an interesting shift in terms of who is the lead in the show.
Yeah but, some of us would like a chick or two we can live vicariously through too, and not have her killed off. Buffy being a hot chick didn’t keep women from watching BTVS, after all. It’s nice to have some of the characters who kick ass also sit to pee.
So, was there a point to the parallel mirroring lives Dean and Sam were having? Sam comes back from hell and drives a shiny black car; Dean watches his girlfriend get killed by the yellow-eyed demon and tries everything he can to try to get Sam out of hell.
Seriously. I pour one out for Henriksen every Thursday.
Speaking of which, I do not like this Friday thing. Supernatural is the only show my daughter and I both made sure to be home for, and watched live (well, live-ish, starting it at 9:20 or so in order to not watch commercials). Friday is date night, dammit. I guess I’ll look on the bright side, and make it a standing Sunday night appointment for us. It’ll be a nice way to end the weekend.
The whole tone of this episode was just weird and fractured. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume for the moment that’s on purpose, because Sam and Dean’s lives are currently all weird and fractured. But I can’t say that I really enjoyed it that much, so I hope they start going wherever they’re going with this soon.
