Maybe Gwen could be that kickass chick, but I’d say lose the other stiffs (so to speak) and just maybe add her as one female hunter to the group from time to time. That’s something that I was hoping they would do with Jo, but then there was the whole Jo/Dean thing, so maybe the cousin aspect would eliminate the sexual tension and solidify the family business thing more; like they’d watch out for each other as if they were brothers and sister.
Something that bothered me about their introduction (the cousins) is how Dean and Sam didn’t know about them and they didn’t know about Sam and Dean; it’s been established that hunters have a very quick and extensive network of contacts that keep them up to date on things almost immediately; hunters knew right away when the boys allowed the Devil’s Gate to be opened, and word spread quickly about Sam being the antichrist as Gordon Walker put it, and so forth. You would think that something as big as the apocalypse would get some attention from any remaining clueless hunters and somehow they would put two and two together to figure out that Mary Winchester (nee Campbell) was mother to the two idjits that were at the heart of the biggest event ever. So I guess unless these cousins were just too stupid to research the vessels for Michael and Lucifer, I don’t see how they couldn’t have known who they were and how they were related to them.
I kind of like the new Samcar, the Charger. I’m not a huge fan of the new Charger design as compared to say, the new Challenger, but it makes sense that Sam would choose a car like that. He DID try to put an iPod dock in the Impala, so I wouldn’t expect him to go classic with his choice of car. The Charger makes as much sense as anything else, I suppose. Maybe the Impala will still be Metallicar, and the Charger will be EmoCar.
I wonder if any hunters ever try to use a menacing, black SmartCar? Y’know, just to be eco-friendly.
I was thinking more about what characters I’d like to have back, and Gabriel is definitely on that list; I mean come on, he’s an archangel! Why wouldn’t God welcome him back to mess around with the boys some more?? Those episodes are my favorites!
SPOILERS AHEAD
I was digging around, and there is definitely an episode where they address the whole Crowley/Bobby deal, and Castiel does make more appearances, though not nearly as much as the past two years, I think.
