Survivor 2/26 - "I've Been Bamboozled!"

Apparently that’s the name of the episode, BTW.

Just wanted to start the speculation on this week’s boot, and various twists.

According to some:
This week comes a “tribe merge” of sorts. Apparently, according to Probst on CBS, a challenge comes in which the losing tribe is literally dissolved.

For reasons unknown, that tribe is rumored to be the shattered pieces of the Saboga tribe. The four remaining members are then picked to be in the other two tribes “playground style.”
I have no speculation on the boot, but I can always hope it’s Amber.

Tonight’s boot:

Jerri gets booted after the tribe switch. Supposedly it’s no surprise to anyone

And F2 spoiler

Chastain86, you’re in for a long wait. Amber is half of the final two.

I’m not clicking on your spoiler, so forgive me if I’m repeating. Is it an actual spoiler or just speculation?

The TV ads have Probst saying the losing tribe will be “dissolved.” I say this means the losing tribe will be split up between the two remaining tribes, getting back to the regular two tribes; my husband insists it means the entire losing tribe is booted off.
But - is this for the Reward Challenge or the Immunity Challenge? If it’s for the the IC, I guess the losing tribe votes someone off and then the remaining members are split up between the two other tribes.
Whichever, it’s going to create some interesting new dynamics.

Auuuggghhh! I did it again! bangs head on desk

Anyhow, the first part, about the twist, was more or less what I’d come up with myself. Then there I am, scrolling down, idly wondering what “F2” could stand for …

sigh Dammit. Final two! sobs

And Chastain– (For people as dumb as me, don’t read this unless you read the first spoiler.

I had heard that the losing tribe would be absorbed into the remaining two, but it was just last night (when I should have been sleeping, of course), that I thought of the idea of making the tribe rearrangement like a kickball game. When I explained it to my Survivor buddy at work this morning, “playground style” was exactly the term I used.

NotWithoutRage:
The two people you eluded to in your spoiler posts seem based on a “list” that’s making the rounds. That list has been confirmed to be bogus.

Just an FYI.

Bogus as the list may be, it’s been right four time so far.

It’s been reported that a crew member was fired in the week after Jenna M quit for feeding her information on her mother’s health. The suspicion for the detailed and accurate spoilers (they even go into why each contestant is voted off) so far lie on that crew member’s shoulders, but as he or she would not have had access to anything regarding All-Stars after Rob C was ousted, it is believed that the rest of those spoilers are made up or at least educated guesses based on what’s happened so far (except, I guess for dates of the twists such as the one that will happen in this episode).

There’s also rumours that Burnett circulated some himself to throw people off.

Both the fact that Jenna M was quitting and the identity of the other 3 bootees so far were known in advance of the show’s premiere. (Apparently somone spotted Tina, Rudy, and Rob C vacationing in Patagonia while the series was still filming, confirming that they were early boots.) So the only remarkable thing about the list so far is the fact that it got the order of the Tina/Rudy/Rob C boots correct.

In any case, we’ll know tonight…

If the stories (rumors) are to be believed, Rob C. signed onto AOL the night after he was booted out at T.C. If that’s correct, then the person would’ve had a 50/50 chance of getting the other two bootees in the correct order.

Well, the spoilers were frightening accurate and it’s interesting that that website is no longer available. It’s been down since just before the last bootee was voted off.

Next week could we start a completely speculation-free thread? Someone’s bound to screw up a spoiler tag sooner or later and ruin it for everyone.

Sorry, that’s extremely unclear.

Next week can we start both a regular Survivor thread as well as a thread wherein speculation based on prediction/spoiler sources is discussed? Someone’s bound to screw up a spoiler tag sooner or later and ruin it for everyone.

Which webiste are you referring to? The list that I got was on Aint-It-Cool-News, which I accessed just fine this afternoon.

What about speculation based on previews shown at the end of each show, and on the TV ads (“Next time on Survivor!”)? Is that okay?
I want to stay totally spoiler-free, but I don’t mind speculation based on those two things.
You know, along the lines of, “Based on what we saw in the previews, I’m guessing Tina goes this week.”
“Well, since Rudy’s featured as being the Bad Guy next week, I bet he won’t be voted out - he’s just the red herring.”

What I hate is that boxed spoilers are not boxed in the email notifications. I found that out that hard way last week by reading the text of an email.

Ain’t It Cool has been reprinting the “Sleek28” list, originally posted on SurvivorSucks. Ad infinitum, week after week, BTW.

That list has been proven false, yet they still keep posting it.

Having been unable to resist temptation, I read all of the spoiler sites, including the one at Ain’t It Cool News which is evidently as bogus as it’s been reported to be. So, I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised at this week’s episode…literally. I enjoyed not knowing what was going to happen for once.

However…that’s not what I want to comment on here. What really blew me away is Sue Hawk’s apparent total meltdown next week. WTF???

The only thing we could think of was that she was pissed over the rubbing she got from Richard. Was that what the “following scenes may contain graphic images…” public announcement was for because we couldn’t figure out what that was referring to either? Yeah, Ethan bonked his head pretty good, but I’ve seen more violence on cartoons.

I’m just so glad I won’t have to see that FFF during the reg’lar show anymore.

I’m sure Burnett was sick of it too.

I wasn’t glued to the TV, I was mostly surfing and listening, only looking over when I thought something important was going on…what was the rubbing thing about? I think I missed something here. I thought that the “graphic images” warning was just because Richard was walking around with his peepee dangling all of the time and every time he was on screen, they had to do the blurry thing.

Heh.

Richard Hatch doesn’t even make it halfway.

Heh.
