Don’t forget, 2nd episode of Heroes v Villains.
I hope Boston Rob is OK.
Don’t forget, 2nd episode of Heroes v Villains.
I hope Boston Rob is OK.
I hope this just a really bad re-enactment. Jeri didn’t look like she was hurrying to get help.
Yeah, Jerri just sort of disappeared when Medical arrived.
I liked the film-student effect of the camera crashing into the ground.
Dammit, Stephenie shrugs off a dislocated shoulder and these bozos vote her off?
James, WTF? Is he on 'roids (or OFF 'roids?) It was almost like he was superstitious because Steph had been the last on her tribe (which actually means to me that she was likeable and strong in a bad-luck tribe).
Yes, from the show and the next weeks preview, James looks to have a little 'roid rage. Symptoms of Roid withdrawal?
Wow, James is hurting his reputation with this behavior. What a baby.
Or, James is tired of losing again and is trying to get rid of weak players who are unlikeable. Hence his vote for Steph, the unlikeliest of Heroes.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I had a feeling I wasn’t going to like tonight’s tribal council early in the episode when we got the two-shot of Stephenie and Hot Amanda standing over the coconut popcorn. I was like, sweet, this season kicks ass. Wait, it’s going to suck when one of them gets voted off. And then sure enough, theirs were the only two names discussed for TC. Doh!
Why not vote off gimpy Rupert and his turf toe? Or Cirie, who really does nothing. She isn’t even scheming this season, which was her only contribution in past seasons. It’s not like she helps around camp very much or rocks the challenges. Or Colby, who as far as I can tell has done nothing in challenges. Or James, who inexplicably turned into a raging douchebag this season. Sometimes it’s fun seeing them yell at each other, but he’s so big and dickish that when he picks on Stephenie it just seems mean. (I loved Tom standing up for Steph at TC, btw.)
So yeah, that’s my total list (plus Sugar) of who I would be happy to see go home on the Heroes tribe. Going to be a lot of tribal councils that don’t go my way this season, that’s for sure. On the villains tribe I’m invested in Russell, Boston Rob, Courtney (love her smack talk) and Parvati, plus I noticed Danielle has a fine caboose during the challenge so she’s aces in my book too. Meaning of the 18 people left, I’ll be bummed to see 9 of them go. Every other week is going to be annoying.
The first two cuts seem to always be “hot chick” cuts, so at least Hot Amanda made it past that.
That reminds me of Boston Rob’s great line, something like “I have a little bit of the flu, and maybe a touch of crybaby-itis.” Ha, so perfect.
Steph is the strongest woman in the game. I’ll concede she seems a bit unlikable around camp, but then again the two main people she seemed to have trouble around were Rupert and James, both of whom can go pound sand as far as I’m concerned. So I don’t hold that against her.
Really, tom was only defending her because she was part of his alliance. He would never have supported Amanda if James had gone for her. Tom is just another douche.
How can she be the strongest woman in the game? She got sent home again, a trait consistent in all of her appearances. There is nothing that makes her a hero. The should have put together a tribe of lovable losers, then she deserved a place. And would still have gotten sent home second.
Oh James, I was rooting for you after you told the story about your grandma killing the chicken. Hopefully he can redeem himself. He was right though, about Steph arguing with J.T. in the challenge. If he had just made his speech at the hut and left it there, I still would’ve respected him. And he’s got basic immunity right now. He’s too much of a powerhouse to get rid of, at least until a merge is imminent.
And I’m wondering what the real deal with Rob was. They tried to make it look like he passed out, but he had his hat down and a shirt behind his head. So it seemed more like he took a nap and stayed down for a little too long.
Probably not Amanda, no, but Tom seemed to have a hard-on for James this episode. You remind me of his confessional right after the challenge when he entered douche island ragging on James for being a loser. Something about the tone struck me as really dickish.
The heroes are all turning into dicks while the villains are stepping up as the good guys. It’s insanity! heh. Probst mentioned to keep an eye out for that kind of thing in interviews before the season.
Because she would flat-out destroy any woman on the show in any straight-up physical contest. Notice how the heroes have annihilated the villains in every physical challenge, only to give it away at the puzzle.
Yep, and right now my favorites who’s become a full-on hero and J.T. who admitted he’s going the villain route this time.
Boston Rob?
I could’ve swore I wrote his name in…
Of course, none of the other Villians are really doing anything noteworthy, other than Russell catching a chicken.
And speaking of chickens, where did they all come from? Are they the offspring of the ones Shambo let loose?
She may be personally strong, but I don’t believe she adds strength to her team, if that makes any sense. It’s not about being strong, it’s about contributing, and she doesn’t, at least in my opinion. She always seems to make a bad situation worse.
In fact, to make this sporting, I’d bet 10,000 quatloos that the heroes win immunity without her next week.
This never ceases to amaze me. Cirie does doesn’t do much of anything except flash the occasional winning smile, yet her name is never mentioned when it comes time to vote. Everyone just automatically defers to her. Put it down to natural leadership, I guess.
You may very well be right; nobody has lost more challenges than Stephenie. But you originally wrote that it made sense to get rid of the weakest, and Stephenie is anything but. Not being a team player and being a weak player are two very different things.
I’d say if a player is cursed to lose all their challenges like how it’s seemingly the case for Steph, that she is the weak link or “cause” of losses. I wouldn’t be so superstitious but James got that point across to the other players and they ate it up. Or they were just glad that their names weren’t on the block and just followed the crowd.
