That’s Some Bad Puns... The MMP

Yup, you have us baffled. What is this supposed to mean? :stuck_out_tongue:

Slightly better, thanks. But it’s 4 am and I’m up so all bets are off for tomorrow.

ETA: Yeehaw! First on page 9!

So, ya wanna talk weird dreams?? I just woke up from a winner.

For some reason, my husband’s surgeon (recall he and my brother were roomies in college) agreed to escort my mother to some fancy-schmancy ceremony or dinner or something the required classy attire. Mom was all gussied up when Bob showed up, in a silver-gray velour leisure suit.

He insisted it was just a joke and he knew better, and he went to change into a tux or something, but the image of this very attractive, 50-ish surgeon in that leisure suit… <shudder>

Good morning!! It’s cool and overcast hereabouts - rain would be nice and welcome, but it’s unlikely. I’ve tended to the critters and I’m caffeinating while my sweetie continues to snooze. Wish I could have snoozed myself some more.

Cute kitty, Spec1! So, were the other pics of you? I hadn’t envisioned you being bearded…

That’s all I’ve got for now. I’m still dealing with this image of Bob in gray velour, insisting he was joking! I probably won’t remember this when we see him on the 30th. Oh well. Happy Saturday, all!

That’s HYsterical! But how did the cartoonist get into my house to watch Smokey work on me? It’s true, there’s no snooze button on a cat who wants breakfast

Achod - cute kitty. more pics please. and, How you doin’?

That was a very funny cartoon, FCM.

Very cute kitty, SO. As rosie said: more pictures!!! (And, yes, FCM, that’s SO in the other pics. I remember them from previous picture threads.)

Glad you’re feeling better, Roo. I woke up feeling better, too. Not perfect yet, but much better than yesterday. Hopefully that’ll last.

How’s the head this morning, Haze? Just wondering.

So, swampy, I hear you’re really enjoying working 3rd shift. Funny, I can’t imagine working those hours, even though I seem to be awake a lot of them lately.

I have friends who had a cat who was clearly part dog. He would always trot up to the door to greet people. I was always surprised he hadn’t learned to bark.

I’m hoping to get a few things done around the house today, but want to make sure not to overdo it. Hmmmm. Still didn’t get enough sleep (woke up at 2:30 and was up for quite a while), so there’s probably a nap in my future, too.

Happy Saturday, everyone!

GT

Up, caffeinated, and not looking forward to another Saturday at work.

gt, Lucretia barks sometimes. It’s probably dog for “Your mother sleeps with Yorkies”

Keep it down, Haze might have a hangover!

Um, thanks guys. :dubious: I’m fine, actually - just too cold to contemplate getting out of bed at this point. So cold! I told a friend I’d accompany him to some party tonight, but I’m having second thoughts; too far, too cold. :grumble:

Silly kitty is sooo cute! Squeeeee!!

Morning, all. I’m up and caffeinating, after a moderately miserable night – I slept okay, but I was so achy. Thank heaven, it was in the mid-50s and we’d left the bedroom window open to enjoy the coolness, so I just cranked up the electric blanket, which helped the achiness. A lot.

Hey there, Special One, how you doing’? Now I know why Mrs. Special One wouldn’t let you meet with us imaginary internet people – she was afraid we’d want to steal you from her! Cute kitten, too – is it a boy or girl, or have you figured it out yet?

The mystery of Rusty’s Very Expensive Tummyache from a few weeks ago has been solved. This morning when Papa Tigs opened the back door for them, they both ran over to a grey object in the yard, so he got to it before anyone decided to have a pre-breakfast snack and, sure enough, it was a dead mole. And the hindquarters and tail were exactly like the leftovers from Rusty’s Very Expensive Tummyache meal, so we know it was at least a mole he ate, not a rat. For some reason, that makes me feel better. Not much better, but at least a bit.

How’s the head feeling this morning, Haze?

I guess I should go do something constructive. Like caffeinate some more. Later, gators!

Dang, it’s cold here. 9°C (48F) outside right now, which of course feels colder in an apartment where the heat hasn’t been turned on yet and likely won’t be 'til November. Brampton’s by-laws suck. I daresay they BAFFLE me.

Just got up half an hour ago and haven’t gone for coffee yet so I’m still sweeping the cobwebs from my noggin. I’ll go shortly, and pick up the Half Life 2 Orange Box while I’m out (eeeeeee!).

Oh, and the kitty is SKWEEEEEEEE!!

Right, then. Coffee.

It’s an awesome, wonderful temperature here (says the girl with her heat turned on)(that sounds dirty) at 9C. Perfect fall weather.

FCM, that’s perfect. I’m saving that for Mr. Lissar to see whenever he gets up. He was up till one last night playing… playing… some game where you have a portal gun and you have to neutralise threats by arranging portals… I dunno. The computer commentary was weird and hilarious. “At the end of the training exercise, cake and grief counselling will be available”.

I think I might do some nothing today. Attacks Husband and I might go see Elizabeth= The Golden Age tonight some time. Not sure if I want to do anything else. Yesterday was kind of busy.

48F is a lovely outdoor temp, though it’s rather chilly for an inside temp. Yesterday when I got home the living room was 52, since I’d left the heat down while I was gone. Brrrrr! But I’ve got it up to the mid-60s now and it feels fine to me. My grandma keeps her place way warmer than I keep mine. And probably everybody else on earth, too, I like it chilly.

Once I’m caffeinated and a small load of laundry is done I’m going to go down to Hailey and check out what’s happening there. I’d really like to see the sheepdogs in action, and it’s going to be too nice a day to stay inside the whole time.

You better watch out posting your pic, Special One, you might find you have a whole bunch of us random Internet women falling all over you! If I was only better at the whole online flirting thing…or any flirting thing, for that matter. sigh

Good morning everyone.

I hadn’t pictured you as a ginger Special One. Cute kitty, too.

I’m up and caffienating. We haven’t made plans for this weekend, thank Og, and that’s the way I want to keep it. I am plain tuckered out.

It’s somewhat cool outside, but not cold. I think it’s about 50 degrees out, so that’s not too bad.

My crazy dog is outside keeping the world safe from the evil squirrels that run along our fence.

The cartoon was funny, FCM. I used to have a cat that try and wake us up by licking us. He was strange.

Well, Swampy, that well and truly sucks about being stuck with third shift again. I hope you hear about the other job soon.

Jahdra, good luck with the job. I hope they get the pay thing squared away too.

There nothing else going on. I guess I’ll cruise the Dope for awhile.

How did I sleep until 10?

Off to get coffee, and food.

I should do this more often…

If you want, I’m willing to help you practice  Looks like you’ve got some competition, however… including your parental unit :dubious:

And you’re not the only one who likes their room temperature in the 60s… 'course that’s harder to achieve where I am, most of the year. sometimes I think A/C is the greatest invention of all time

Haze, your squee did not sound drunk at all. I’m so disappointed. :frowning: You need to try again tonight… Maybe then you’ll also pay attention to the handsome man in the other pictures

Cute kitty, SO - and how you doin’?

Help the Hooch is done - we got the same section as last year and there wasn’t nearly as much crap to pick up. We did find a homeless persons stuff under a bridge, but we left it there.

After picking up trash we went and watched a bit of hockey practice - not an official practice, just the guys skating mostly. Found out the player I sponsored last season is in training camp for another team in our league this season. Should be interesting when they play us!

I’m sleepy; think I’m gonna go get a nap.

Hey, I posted my squee this morning. When I was [del]hungover[/del] not quite awake. I suppose my drunken squee would have been more like OMGSOCUTESQQUEEEEEEEEEEE@!@!!!$%&*!

I’ve seen your pic before, Special1, in the pic threads. You are quite dashing. If only I had a thing for older, married men with kids.

ARGH!

EBGames: “Sorry. Sold out. Hopefully next week some time.”
Zellers: “What?”
Staples: “Who?”
We Got Games: “Try EBGames.”

They’re going to make me to go Best Buy, aren’t they? Bastards.

Mindfield, my son wants that game. I just read your post to Mr. Taters. He chuckled and said, “He sounds like me”. He’s not to interested in that particular game, but does hunt mercilessly for a game when he wants it.

He’s got Hellgate:London reserved and is playing the beta now. I guess he likes it.

I want to play Sims2 all of a sudden, but I can’t find Disk 1.

Plus it’s a bitch playing computer games on a laptop. I miss my desktop PC back home.

Wow. I’m wondering how long it takes to bounce back from the antibiotics I was taking back there. I’m thinking 2 1/2 weeks-ish. I woke up feeling like a whole different person this morning. Also, I think the fact that I spent 1 1/2 days pretty much only vegetating didn’t hurt.

Hopefully, I’ll keep feeling this good. I’m trying to find the balance between getting stuff done and building up stamina.

Just went to the library to return books and get the next round. Need to go to Kohl’s.

Lunch (NOL) is: almond butter and apple butter sandwich (on flaxseed bread, if you’re interested), carrots, rice pudding.

Need to get some groceries, too.

Back later.

GT

Urgh. Throat is definitely getting sore. Need more tea.

The game is called Portal, it’s downloadable, and it’s pretty cool-looking. I suggest the gamers here look it up. I just watch over Mr. Lissar’s shoulder.
