Let’s make some cornbread for that stew !!
I think I’ll take a Bailey’s and coffee too please. Who’s up for a game of Scrabble ??

pops in another movie, and then breaks out a dictionary K, I’m ready for scrabble. But then someone needs to go into the hot tub with me.
Hello, my comfy people!! Guess What??? I have definitive proof that God loves us… The Hot Doughnuts Now! Sign was on at Krispy Kreme!!
Here are several dozen HOT doughnuts (My - there are quite a few of us now!) and baby wipes. (I hate sticky fingers!)
What a day. And tomorrow is Sunday, so I gotta rest up now. I think I’ll curl up here on this futon cushion, have a hot chocolate, and plan for a nice foot rub and hand massage after papers tomorrow.
I’ll worry about finances and the animal control people tomorrow, too, okay? No need to fuss with it tonight, right?
Right. Gotcha.
[snuggles closer evilmathlady and ninetywt and whoever else is under that nice comforter…]
Bodypoet, I just wanted to say thank you for hosting such a lovely comfy thread.
I’m going to start your car tomorrow so you’ll be nice and toasty when you go deliver your papers, and by the time you get back the hot tub will be nice and bubbly.
Sssssshhhhhh…go to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
hyperjes, thank you for the ziti. Just what I needed, dear heart, and bless you.
Sounds like a lot of us are getting pretty banged around, and this place is more and more like a psychic bandage. I come here to get my dose of Universal Mommy-ness here and there, and then I can go take on the world again. Thanks for making it such a great place, y’all.
bodypoet, I’m armed and ready to receive you when you’re done with the papers…here’s the salt, name the oil you’d prefer and we’ll welcome you home with open arms.
I’m in for Scrabble and the hot tub, definitely.
Oh, and NinetyWt, the shoulder’s here anytime you need it. I know that had to be a rough letter to screw up courage and resources for, and I’m proud that you’re standing your ground and that you love your daughter enough to do so.
Getting another stack of records together. What’s wanting?
BeeGees please todd. Or summat old and funky - please no disco though.
Oh, ivylass, I can’t tell you how nice it was to go out to a warm car this morning. I think it helped me get moving, because it only took 4 1/2 hours instead of 6. Heh.
Todd, once again I am amazed at finding a guy who knows about foot rubs and lavender oil. I do believe you belong amongst my most special friends. Actually, I think most folks here…[surveys room, nods head]…yep, everyone here qualifies as well! (But still…a guy! foot rubs! Heavens!)[sub]Do I sound deprived or what?[/sub]
Hold that foot scrub though, I have an idea.
I wanna paint the kitchen. Anyone up for some therapuetic brush-wielding? I have this lovely cream color for the walls and cabinets, and I even bought new stick-on tiles for the floor. (I know, I know, but they were all I could afford. I’m eyeing inexpensive laminate for the living room, though.)
Then (here’s the good part) after the paint dries, we take sandpaper and hammers and stuff and bang the hell out of the cabinets to make them look old and primitive. Great way to work out those nasty bad feelings.
I want to thank everyone for being here. It’s so nice to have grownups to talk to. Not many adults out and about at 3 a.m., y’know. Well, there are a few, but they are mostly peeing on the sidewalks or lurking menacingly, so I don’t exactly have a lot of quality conversations with them.
I’ll be right over bodypoet I’m not very good at painting… hope it doesnt need to be perfect
anytime you need to chat, you know where to find me! this really is a great party. I love it! didn’t get any of the bailey’s and coffee… any left? I will have to see what’s sitting in my cabinet. I could use something tonight… actually, last night I really could have used something… the little demons were really earning their names!
a foot rub would be really nice… I think I will ahve to make an appointment to get a pedicure… hubby’s gone… I will have to pay someone to rub my feet. They’d do a better job anyway… they wouldn’t stop halfway through while watching football.
this blanket is nice and cozy… I don’t want to get up… who’s going to the kitchen for more coffee? can ya bring me some on your way back please? pretty pretty please?
Absolutely. I’m a fairly good painter BTW. Let me do the hard parts, you do the easy ones !
No, Karol, [sub](that’s my daughter’s name too) [/sub]it’s YOU that we thank for hosting! This has been a very refreshing place to come back to some days.
Thanks to: DeVena for a much-needed donut fix; Washte and Todd for the hugs; everyone else ~ I’m sure I missed someone ~ kisses all the way 'round ~ thanks for being here!
Now, I am opening my window to let in some warm sweet spring weather we are having here. The jonquils are blooming here beneath the window, and those tiny white “star” flowers carpet the yard. Breathe in the deliciousness, ya’ll. Mmmmmmmm.
Thanks guys! I want to thank you all for you support.
I thought it would be harder, but for once, I feel great
Thanks for the extensions
I have a GIANT chocolate cake with the whipped cream frosting filling stuff I would like to add.
Good Luck Ninety-I’m around if you need me
I don’t pretend to know anything at all about life but if any of you have yahoo messenger you can IM me with my nickname Tipperizzy, and I am pretty sure my email is somewhere on my profile.
To everyone in this thread( I am still working on reading it, i keep being interruppted by the most depressing people in my family… OHHHH tiff, you are a divorcee, don’t you just want to die?) I hope that all goes wel for you and that you get nothing but love and snickers and everything else wonderful
I think we’ve all been cooped up in here long enough. Tomorrow, let’s go outside and do some yard work…weeding the garden, talk to the new spring buds just blooming, trimming back to jasmine, fertilizing the grass…
I want to work with the warm sun and cool breeze on my back…then come back in for a nice cold lemonade…anyone going to join me?
todd33rpm, you are very welcome!
Darn, lots going on since I poked my head in last.
I think we got a virus and nothing would work so we wiped the whole darn thing and started all over.
And I lost lots of good stuff too!
Tygr sorry to hear about the accident. I know it seems like alot right now but it does end. A year ago December I lost six people. I swore we lived at the funneral home and it’s a good thing I like black.
And Todd was very discreet whilst checking up on me. A perfect gentleman.
Which could be a good thing for him since any doper guy I tend get any type of conversation going with gets hooked up and engaged to the wonderful doper ladies around here.
I’m like a good luck charm for male dopers looking for romance.
I’m sorry, that came off rather rude. I did not mean to convey that I was tired of hanging around here, munching chocolates and splashing people in the hot tub. Quite the contrary.
I’mfeeling somewhat guilty with all my lazing around. I just wanted to offer another comfort…that of working with living plants and flowers, smelling the soil and watching the ants as they busily do their ant duties.
:ivylass, pulling on the gardening gloves and grabbing the trowel and the hand rake and pruning shears:
Washte, is the live version of “Edge Of The Universe” alright? It falls on the fringe of their disco years…or were you thinking more like “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?”
Oh, got it, something old and funky, not necessarily from the Bee Gees (I’m a little slow this morning). Todd flips through boxes of singles
Hmmm…I have the Ohio Players’ “Love Rollercoaster,” the Three Degrees’ “When Will I See You Again,” James Brown’s “Cold Sweat” and “Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag” and a half-dozen O’Jay’s singles here. Your pick, Washte.
hyperjes, it’s good to see you again. When you dashed out I thought that was all we’d get to see of you…come on in and sit a spell! Want a song on the record changer? Name it…
NinetyWt, you are very, very welcome.
bodypoet, the foot rub is on hold until you’re ready; just say the word. Let’s get cracking on that kitchen! (I’ll take part in the outdoor festivities when it warms up in a couple days, I think.)
I hear that “discretion is the better part of valor,” lovely Kricket, so I try to behave accordingly. There certainly was temptation, but I did mind my p’s and q’s.
Deadly Nightlight, it’s good to see you here. I have no pride: please pass me some of that cake, you magnificient person, you! (Which I would think even if you weren’t bringing cake, FWIW.) A toast for you Todd lifts glass of blueberry wine, with a nod, to Deadly Nightlight
Wow! You’ve got a great selection there todd. How about a bit of James Brown, and the Three Degrees. Any Mamas and the Papas in there too?
How about one of my favourites: Bobby Day’s Rockin Robin… to get everyone in the mood for Spring.
Here’s a big bottle of Malibu, some homemade cranberry and eldar wine, and a huge bottle of rum that needs taken care of.
Is that stew about done in there Lurky?
OoooH, I LOVE The Mamas and the Papa’s! Let’s put that on **todd33rpm!
Preview…I should always preview…:smack:
Also found “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)” by Sly And The Family Stone in the box…so I’ll throw that in for me.
So here’s the new stack for the changer, so far:
“Rockin’ Robin” by Bobby Day
“I Saw Her Again” by The Mamas And The Papas (unless Washte or hyperjesprefer something else)
“When Will I See You Again” by The Three Degrees
“Cold Sweat” by James Brown
“Thank You” by Sly And The Family Stone
That leaves one more opening for this time around. Any takers?
