It’s still bad that she doesn’t just turn her friggin page to private and stop adding people she doesn’t know. Probably either a fake page or she’s just enjoying the attention, terrible or otherwise.
Alright… I’m probably a bipolar asshole as I have mixed reactions.
I did laugh at the thread, some of the comments and images created/posted as comments were down-right funny. The intent of the OP, to shame someone was not funny.
As for her looks, I’m also mixed. The lame car, the bad bikini, and the amateur photos combined with her poor choices in make-up application well… not so attractive. However, I thought she looked pretty hot in some of the later pics posted of her in regular clothes IF I ignore the terrible make-up.
Does that make me a thinking asshole?

Heh I wonder if it was created by the same troll who started that thread, with the girl (whoever she is) still blissfully unaware.
No it’s not. There are comments on her page from back in June. This thread popped up on 11/6.
FACE IT This girl is enjoying the attention, as bad as that sounds…
Her page was set to private prior to her finding out about this. Once she realized how much attention that forum was getting she made her page public.
Let me see if I understand this.
If you’re the Star Wars Kid, and you get depressed and suicidal because people are making fun of you, you’re a loser.
If you’re this young woman, and you don’t set your page to private because that’s a sign that they’ve gotten to you, but instead post a levelheaded response on your page and keep your head up in the storm of unbelievably cruel remarks, you’re a loser.
I guess once people have targeted you, your life is over no matter how you choose to react. I’ve believed this for a long time: self-esteem comes from other people, not oneself. You can have as much as they allow you to have. Your opinion of yourself must match the majority. If you dare to like yourself even if they don’t, you deserve to be mocked just for that. For years, I’ve hoped this wasn’t true. Guess it is, though.
Read more carefully. It’s been stated several times in this thread that her profile was private before this whole mess started. She set it to public after the pics got out so that she could bask in the attention.

A distinction without difference, if you ask me.
You seem awfully confident in the motive you’re ascribing to her. Why are you so sure she didn’t set it public for any other reason?
Other than the choice of terrible eye makeup and a very forced smile, the poor girl isn’t bad looking.
What other reason could there be? Name one. Any one.
An honest question: do you believe that she is happy that these pictures were posted and there are almost 2000 moronic comments from idiots making fun of her? In your opinion, based on whatever you’re basing it on, do you think she thinks this is a good thing?
Oops. In my last post I intended to quote Rilchiam with the bit I actually ended up stealing from her, and to say something nice about it.
So you’re saying if massive amounts of attention is unwittingly poured onto you, completey ridiculing you, with no purpose other than to make you feel like absolute shit, you are to say boo hoo and hide under a rock. Any attempt to say, bring it on, see if I care, makes you an attention whore. Any attempt to try to gain anything out of unwillingly becoming famous worldwide for being ugly makes you an attention whore.sure. Imagine if she’s eventually able to make a buck out of this whole thing. What a bitch that would make her.
Well I think clearly the answer is what Hostile Dialect said. Namely that it’s a meaningless distinction that doesn’t in any way make her situation less sympathetic.
However, maybe she was confronted with the horrible things strangers were saying about her and wanted a medium to engage and respond to them?
Absolutely. To some people (e.g., the kind of people who would pose in a bikini with a cheap ricer), any attention is good attention .
You know what’s great about this post? It’s starts with the words “So you’re saying,” then the rest is comprised entirely of things you presume that I might think.
This is true, because you usually can tell a lot about what people think based on what they say.
I can come up with a pretty good reasoning for unusual actions when I consider that a person has shown personality traits consistent with that reasoning in the past, if that’s what you’re getting at.
Well, I think you should expand your mind a little and stop trying to analyze people when you have such little information to go on.
My friends and I are pretty silly people. I’ve posed for pictures in a bikini doing silly things. One of my friends has a video of me rolling around in a dress on a car like that broad in the old Whitesnake videos. I have pictures and videos of my friends doing fun and silly things. None of these things are done to thrill you or idiots online who have more time than brains on a website.
Having done these things I can assure you that I do not think that any attention is good attention. Perhaps you don’t know half as much as you think you know. Try not judging people so much so quickly, especially when you know next to nothing about them.
There are more things in heaven and earth, neutron star, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
Well, yeah, but you’re hot.
And by that I mean that it’s certainly possible that I’m wrong, but that’s the rather strong impression that I’m getting from this woman. YMMV.
Also, my philosphy is rock solid! Don’t knock the philosophy! My philosophy even predicted the Phillies’ World Series win!*
*Every year for twenty years until that one year when I was finally right.
I wasn’t getting at anything other than objecting to the idea that not hiding from the negative attention being thrown at her somehow makes her an attention whore. And I’d say that someone who is aware they are the butt of a nationwide internet joke becomes more respectable if they stand up and say, ‘hi, that’s me’, not less.
