If the entire season revolves around Sheldon trying to win Amy back, I’m out. I’ve ony seen half the episodes this season because it’s just turned so dull.
I kind of like those. He’s so smart there’s no problem he can’t figure out…except for Amy.
Next week’s episode is “The Mystery Date Observation”, so, yes.
I thought the initial conversation between Bernadette and Howard was the best part of the episode.
“Of course it’s your house! Why else would you be cleaning it all the time?”
“I’m changing everything that depresses me when I look at it. Try not to be one of those things.”
He won’t let Bernadette repaint the dining room, and you think she’d be allowed to change his hair?
Nah, I’m betting we get some wacky infertility clinic hijinks. Like Howard wearing icepacks in his boxers.
Does Chuck Lorre do that? Throw in babies in a last ditch effort? It seems to me the show is doing fine without adding a tot.
Then why add plot points about a nursery? It’s ok, I see the final episode with Sheldon and Amy getting married, Bernadette giving birth, and Leonard and Penny getting divorced. Howard and Bernadette get the spinoff show, The Wolowitzesises.
Dharma’s parents had a baby in the 4th season of “Dharma and Greg”, and Ashton Kutcher & Jon Cryer adopted a 6 year old in the final season of “Two and a Half Men.” So he’s certainly not opposed to bringing babies/children into his shows.
I’m pretty sure that early versions of Bernadette thought that Howard was the epitome of cute (IIRC she even liked the dickies), so why would she want him to change his hair style?
Maybe so she won’t feel like everyone’s looking at them when they go out. And I’m sure she likes his little dickie.
I’ve already described how the last episode should go, although that could use some updating.
I do hope they use your closing lines.
…Sheldon won’t win Amy back by trying to win her back. He will win her back by giving her space, respecting her decisions, and letting her go. (If the writers get it right.)

The way I was expecting the plot to go was that Adam Nimoy would look at the Napkin and say “That’s not my Dad’s signature.” and we would find out it was a fake. I am glad they didn’t do that though because it’s hacky and it would have under cut a very good episode from the early days of the show.
I know I’ve been critical in the past, however I really liked this week’s episode!
I actually felt sad for Sheldon, deliberately modeling himself on a fictional character to help explain life, to impose logic and order on irrationality and chaos. I wonder how many of us do that to some degree, even sub-consciously. Sometimes I try to “channel” Lady Mary from Downton Abbey when dealing with someone particularly annoying.
Am I alone in wondering if Bernie not wanting kids could end up being a deal-breaker for Howard? Half of real-life marriages end in divorce. Or is everyone on this show going to end up married? Maybe we shouldn’t expect realism from *all *our entertainment.
Hm, I didn’t know Ms. Bialik was Jewish, particularly Orthodox. That’s fascinating. You don’t see that every day. (Not being smart here; I was a social-science major and I find facts like these rather cool.)
I would rather not see Sheldon chasing Amy all season, but that may be the way we’re going…
It might have something to do with her personal preference in not shaving. She won’t wear strapless dresses, but it appears I was wrong about the skirt length.
Best episode of the season so far.
Nimoy looks a LOT like his dad.
I was thoroughly confused.
I watched the episode on CBS On Demand that had an 11/06 date and it wasn’t as described in this thread. It had a ‘B’ after it but I don’t know what that means. It was about Penny going on an auditon and the guys trying to invent a way to communicate with aliens.
I watched the episode on CBS.com and it was as described in this thread.
And I certainly hope you will come back to tell the rest of us why we shouldn’t enjoy the show anymore because our tastes are far less sophisticated than yours.
Would you like me to show you any posters who gave up earlier and are obviously more sophisticated than you?
What sophisticated? I hate children, I hate children on TV, I hate characters on TV having children, and I will not watch any show that does something like that. Others may not feel that way, and my decision in no way affects theirs or their viewing enjoyment. Your attitude, OTOH, would suck the joy out of a threesome with supermodels.
