Bleach and Ammonia doesn’t make an explosive, but it does generate chlorine gas which is kinda, sorta deadly… When I was deployed to Sicily, one of the idiot pilots sent a crew of junior guys in to clean a windowless head with bleach and ammonia. He very nearly killed them all. You’d think that might affect a man’s career, but he was promoted in the next cycle. Love that Navy…
I’m in bed, warming my tootsies. I just finished fixing the afghan that wasn’t quite right. It’s still not all that great, but it’s done. Tomorrow, I’ll toss everything into the washer, then it’ll all be ready for Mom’s next AARP meeting.
Tomorrow, we’re going to IHOP for breakfast because she wants to and I almost never say no to breakfast out. I’ll be heading back home a bit after lunch. Apart from the afghans, I still need to straighten her computer wires and refill the bird feeder. The sister who lives nearby will come over to help her get ready for bed tomorrow, and my other sister will come back on Monday and spend the week. We’ll have to keep taking turns till she can drive - it could be 8 weeks or more, depending on how PT goes. Poor Mom - she hates not being able to drive.
Anyway, thus endeth my day. I’m going to surf a little more, then crash.
Just got home from a seriously irritating irk day. Seemed like half the co-“irkers” were teaming up to gleefully tapdance all over my last nerve. DH is off doing some photo-related stuff, I’m baking up some cookie dough (freebie from Papa Murphy’s for doing a survey in which I told them how very much I hated their online ordering). Decided to go the fast, easy, lazy route and just press the dough into a pie plate and bake it that way for slicing when cooked.
Waiting on the storm apocalypse… Should be here within an hour or so then it’s gonna drop to 60ish  we are under a tornado watch and wind advisory.
I guess I’ll get on up and take King Louie for his stroll before it happens.
I have a small hangover today. And BLURF
Yay for fresh blood Gotti and DH
I woke at 4 but dozed on and off till a bit after 6, which I’m going to declare to be “good”! After I do my usual morning reading, I’ll strip and remake this bed and start packing up my stuff. The cold is about to descend upon the area - in fact, I don’t think we’ll get out of the 40s today, but one day closer to spring, right?
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin. YAWN ‘Tis 45 Amurrkin and drizzly out with a predicted high of 54 and sunny for the day. It looks like the rain overnight has all headed east of us, hence the clearin’ up.
We shall deheathenate and then have N.O.L. at the local good seafood place. We are goin’ to use OYKW’s free birthday coupon. So, we’ll buy one get one free. Win-Win!
{{{gotti}}} yay for fresh blood and DH feelin’ better.
Butters I am very familiar with “I swanny” and “I swan.” OYKW and I use both when we’re carryin’ on all southern style.
MOOOOOOM be safe drivin’ back to southern Merrylande.
OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. At some point purtification for deheathenization must also commence.
It’s dark and 35 degrees outside. Supposed to get up to 37, so I guess this is about as good as it gets. Tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 23, and some snow is predicted.
Not much going on today, same as any other day.
Maybe a little laundry. I think Ill make some meatballs. I have some ground beef in the fridge I need to use.
We survived the storm. By the time it got to me it was a whole lot of nothing. Rained maybe 15 minutes. Now it’s sunny, windy and probably mid 70’s but shall get down to 60F tonight
Lazy day here. I need to venture forth to the grocery store but that entails getting dressed so maybe I’ll just scrounge instead. I do need to give Louie a bath before the cold sets in.I have the sheets washing. I will rotate the mattress before I remake the bed.
Crammed a lot of fun into yesterday and finished off with bingo. It’s actually getting a little sad as it goes on. When we first started we were like 2 of the 6-10 straight people there (out of say 250) and we made some terrific friends in the LGBT community there. These days its almost like some Florida tourist trap “come see the gators” thing - mostly straights and mostly once-and-done visitors. And a lot of our friends have found other things to do. Its nice for the GLCC; most of their income comes from it and now its a sell-out (450+) every month. But there is also this aspect of being “sell outs” to it as well. Oh well, I guess its just the Lutheran in me and my natural resistance to change.
As families and farms are changing, those are getting to be more common. Its hard for someone basically with a “truck lot” to maintain both a family buggy and farm-goods wagon. And some of the clans out that way really don’t want to fall back on some FOY (Friend of Yoder - and English neighbor) to haul their goods to markey. So you get those.
Keep your eyes sharp and you may see a buggy with a white roof. Its actually very Old School but they look really sporty.
Maybe I should offer some suggested mixtures in the form of a multiple choice thingy?
So the balance of Lutherans have returned to church.
