The Brats and Cheese on Me! MMP

I don’t know… I can just imagine the resulting episode of CSI with ax murder at the science museum. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s awesome about meeting a blogger!

The countdown to our mini vacation is on. We’re leaving on Friday afternoon for San Diego! It’s supposed to be between 65 and 75 for the 4 days we’re there. Woo!

Funny how you can tell after a while that it’s unlikely an imaginary friend is an axe murderer. How cool for you to have an opportunity to meet!

This sounds like fun. Can I come along too???

I can imagine that it’s hard to keep the grandparents in line, Sticky. My mom is 87 and about as stubborn as they come.

I’m tired! I spent 2 hours in detailed discussions with auditors this afternoon. Nice and helpful people, but it made my brain hurt.

I notice we have not yet seen pictures of the great-grandaughter. :dubious:

Need to put valentines together…I’m still thinking about what to put on/in them.

Back later.

Hugs. And one more

OK, I’m finally here. What a day it has been. I’m taking off tomorrow, so I’ll post more then.

And FYI, it’s not Tuesday, it’s the second Monday of the week.

I can has Firday?

Evenin’ Y’all! Dindin was comforty. I got “appreciated” for it even.

Tomorrow is hump day. YAY!!!

And on that note…

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Yeah, I mean, I have met you internet weirdos before. I’ve met welby, and a whole bunch of Toronto Dopers, and HazelNutCoffee came over and met Gnat, and I knew Mahna Mahna from high school… but I bet my Mum with still be nervous when I tell her. Mr. Lissar, on the other hand, immediately suggested we invite her over for dinner or to stay with us.

I really hope it happens. I love her writing and have for years. She’s a classically trained singer and literature aficionado, and we can nerd it up together. Well, except for the music part, because I am nearly tone-deaf.

I would post pictures, but I’ve only got one. On my cell-phone, from the boychild’s cell phone, but iffen i can figger out one of them new-fangled picture sites, I’ll try to put it up there.

Soon.

Yesterday and today, we were supposed to be having the dress rehearsal for next week’s presentation. Yesterday we couldn’t do anything due to someone from Costing having us all blocked (yee and haw). Today, the boss said “we’ll start in ten minutes”, let’s see… some 86 minutes ago.

It has been decreed that if we ever drive anywhere as a group he will not be allowed behind the wheel: otherwise we risk being 24h late :stuck_out_tongue:

Up bright and early. **FCD **has left for work and BIL is still asleep. We don’t have to leave for the airport till 9-ish. So I have some time to surf and chill.

I think after I get back from dropping BIL off, I’m going to cut out FCD’s vests. Assuming the cats let me use my dining room table, the brats. I have 2 vests with lining, so 4 cuts of each piece. I’m going to try doing each vest with its lining at the same time - the fabric isn’t that heavy.

I also need to box up the old computer for BIL and UPS it to him. He’s still running a machine using Win97, so my XP beast will be a step up for him, even with the dead CD drives. Last night, I removed all of our personal stuff, then ran a wipe and a defrag. Not that he’s savvy enough to find anything anyway. But I did make sure I dumped all our cookies.

This all assumes my boss doesn’t call and make me come in. But things are really slow at work, so I’m not too worried.

I need caffeine. Stat. And a muffin would be nice.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN At least it’s Hump Day! YAY!!!

I have four home visits today plus visits to the sites in Da Burg and Dawson. Plus, I get to check on the little charges provided they show up. Yesterday was not their fault. Their bus at Job Corps never showed up. At least one of 'em had the idea that a call about why they didn’t show up would be good. So, bzzy day but that’s good cause I like it that way.

Chikin noodle soup for dindin cause that’s what I took out of da freezer.

Ok, off in search of more caffiene and brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then commences irk purtification.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Good morning all - up and caffeination is in progress. I’ve had a bit of brekkie too, so my tummy is happy. For now.

Nava, I don’t know how you keep from strangulating your co-workers - probably the same way I keep from killing mine though: jail time.

We had beef stew with barley last night. This time, we roasted the root veggies before adding them to the stew, and boy were they tasty! I would totally recommend doing this and will do it again in the future when making stew.

Yay for it being Hump Day! Three down and two more to go until the weekend!! Well, after today, that is. Have a good day, all.

Blurf.

Life in The Annex is still an adventure. Still no phone and Intartoobz (rant to come), and for an added bonus, the heat pump quit working. 'Twas 49 Amurrkin at the thermostat when I woke up. Glad I brought a sleeping bag for bachelor camping…

Verizoff was out, and found a wiring problem related to cable TV related phone service. Fixed that, and said I was good to go. Yeah, right. The modem for Intartoobz is sitting in the kitchen for the moment, and there was no change in the status lights. A quick check with my phone revealed no dial tone. I went out to the interface box, and plugged in to the test port. Dial tone… :dubious: I traced wires to 2 different junction boxen, revealing a rat’s nest of Charlie Foxtrot wiring.

Called Verizoff again to report no joy on the dial tone. It took 2 hours and 4 transfers between Repair and Customer Service before someone would put in a service order To Fix The Damned Thing. I was ready to machine gun phone company employees at that point; good thing I lacked a crew served weapon and knowledge of the nearest office.:mad::mad:

I have no clue what is going on with my heat. The thermostat is set to raise the temp to 70, but the heat pump nor the furnace come on. The heat pump has been working intermittently until yesterday. Hate to bug the landlady, but that’s why I pay her the big bucks. Also the reason I’m selling VunderLair Mark 1…

Not all is grumbly, however. I went to the Navytown Rescue Squad last night to join their ranks…

The combined memories of German-Swiss PharmaHell, “I don’t pay you to think, I pay you to solve problems”, CokeMan (not the kind you drink) and Miss NeedsLaid “you can’t have any holidays, or holy days either” the HolyRoller makes these ones look like pre-raphaelian cherubs; soundtrack courtesy of any of the famous members of the Strauss family. I retain my contractual and God-given right to whine but yep, this client and these coworkers are actually pretty nice most of the time. For starters, they want to do things right: that’s a distinct improvement over way too many others.

You know what’s worse than coughing your head off?

Coughing your head off at work.

You know what’s worse than coughing your head off at work?

Coughing your head off at work and having gas.

Blurf.

::cough cough toot::

<snerk> Rebo’s fart coughin’! <snerk>

Howdy from the Lee County Senior Center in beeyootiful downtown Leesburg, Jawja AKA Da Burg!

Now on to other joys.

Later Y’all!

Even worse than that? Coughing your head off and having diarrhea…

Thank God for small favors!

Oooga Boooga.

Half day for me. Lunch with the Usual Suspects, a quickie at the gym, then a massage then visiting a friend for a thing.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk. My friend’s mom died last night. :frowning:

You got laid 3 times today?!? That’s more Viagra than I can handle…
